I spent 3 days in Piombino with my 14 yr old daughter. We were here in the evening and strolled with the locals. Did not feel touristy at all, groups of kids playing or eating gelato, friends chatting and well behaved dogs. We loved it. Then headed to Gattarossa Art Gallery Kafe at Piazza G Verdi 7. Sauro makes the best carbonara and we also enjoyed the antipasto plate. Art display to enjoy while you eat in this modern industrial cafe.
