“Lovely country home”

Located in the sleepy village of Brenna, initially the villa was difficult to find. A nice Italian lady was there waiting for us but she spoke little English and eventually another lady came in the morning to make sure we were OK. A broken window left by the previous party was fixed very promptly.
The apartment is as lovely as the photos shown on their web site, maybe better, but the place needed a quick sweep as it was dusty. All facilities worked fine.
We had some sweet babies staying next door who were sometimes up in the middle of the night, but no great bother.
Price of rental was a bit steep but I guess it's peak season.

“Wonderful holiday in Tuscany”

We recently had an extended family holiday in Tuscany. The Villa Amedeo - Leonardo/Tiziano was a wonderful base for us to make our daily trips to Florence, Siena and the wineries within the region. We only have five days so couldn't take full advantage of the location. The villa is located in a lovely small town with a population of around 200 people. 10 minutes away you have a local supermarket that can provide you with all the essentials. The villa had an outside eating area with BBQ. It was a lovely place to sit and have a meal at the end of the day, either something that we had prepared, or picking up a local pizza that from the pizzeria located around 200 metres away. There were bicycles to ride and close by a lovely stream with forest. I would thoroughly recommend the villa and could easily stay there again, perhaps for at least 7 days to get a full appreciation of the area.

Liked best: Loved the simplicity and rustic feel of the property - very clean with everything that we wanted. Beautiful bathrooms.
Liked least: Beds a little hard - perhaps something for the owner to consider

“Beautiful, charming rustic Tuscan villa”

We wished our stay could have been longer than the four days we had scheduled! It is everything I had hoped for as a Tuscan retreat, in a charming, tiny village. We had a rental car (which is a must-have if you want to stay here) and were able to easily get around to Siena, Florence, and the coast (Livorno, Cecina, and Pisa). It was difficult to find on our first day (some more detailed driving directions would be helpful...If you're driving south, pass Siena then follow the signs to Grosseto, then look for signs to Sovicille and Rosia. On your way to Rosia, you'll see a sign to Brenna. Villa Amedeo is the last house on the main street, just as the street goes downhill toward the river), but once we found it, the location couldn't have been better! The tiny village of Brenna is like the land that time forgot (exactly what I wanted in my romantic notion of a Tuscan vacation!).

“Peaceful spot in the Tuscan hills yet close to Siena”

We rented Leonardo and Tiziano and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The bedrooms and lounge are simply but well furnished, the bathrooms are stylish and the kitchen well equipped. This is an elegant place to spend a few days, in the sleepy village of Brenna, yet providing easy access to Siena and the surrounding Val d'Orcia and Crete Senesi regions and the hill top towns for which Tuscany is famous. There is a small shop and simple cafe/restaurant in Brenna but you really need a car to make the most of the area. A short walk away you can swim in the clean, cool Merse river which is within the Alto Merse Nature Reserve.

“A fantastic Tuscan experience”

My family and I stayed in the Villa Leonardo for 1 week from 27/7/13 in the charming and sleepy village of Brenna which is about 5 miles from Siena. We had travelled from Pisa and Florence (Freinze) and decided to stop over to discover the 'real tuscany'. The villa is set on the edge of hillside village where less than 200 local Tuscans reside. Here, we got to experience the authentic village lifestyle. We did not have a pool but then you don't need one when you have a freshwater river and in the Nature Reserve which was less than 5 minutes away by foot. We all enjoyed the dramatic Tuscan scenery from our breakfast table and I would thoroughly recommend a car for great days out to some fantastic hillside villages. You can expect biscotti, freshly baked bread and croissants from the breadvan who arrives each morning at 10am to serve the villagers. In my opinion, we all needed to relax and get away from the stresses and strains of everyday life but meeting the locals really made our vacation a special one. We headed onto Rome for three days but will certainly return to Brenna for another taste of Tuscany.
