We were so amazed to come across this beautiful restaurant. We had travelled to Siena as part of our Honeymoon, took a wrong turn which made us 4 hours from our destination. By the time we arrived at our hotel it was 22.30, we were starving and everywhere to eat was shut! The concierge kindly rang this restaurant over the road to see if they would allow us to eat and they welcomed us with open arms despite the kitchen being ready to close. Everyone was formally dressed, so we felt rather under dressed in our travelling clothes but they told us not to worry about that and looked after us so well. The food was incredible (steak - Devine!!!!) and the wine was just beautiful. They really know their red wines!!
Fantastic service, very very reasonably priced and excellent food.
Highly recommended

We dined on a Saturday night and were so glad we had a reservation, as the restaurant had only 7 tables, mostly for couples. Soft guitar music was playing, which along with low lighting and couples quietly talking made for a relaxing ambiance.

The menu is very straight-forward wonderful choices in both Italian and English. We split an appetizer and a pasta first, and had two second dishes. The splits were plated separately and large portions. We could only split a dessert afterwards. This restaurant prides itself on fresh, local ingredients and discerning quality. I don't recall any of the dishes being seafood.

The wine list is short but well-varied. We were content with the house red from nearby.

L'Oro di Siena was a bit of a walk for us (we were staying at Il Campo) but so worth it. A special evening and Siena memory.

This restaurant is a little off the beaten path which we prefer to the mediocre quality of tourist targeted restaurants. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent as was the wine. The food was exceptional, we started with a shared sheep's milk variety of cheeses as an appetizer platter. We then each had wonderful fresh pasta dishes followed by a heavenly dessert. We spent 28 days in Italy & this was one of the most memorable food experiences we had!

Restaurant quite small but it's extremely nice. Food of excellent quality and high level of service. Well-qualified employee.
Place for an excellent gastronomic experience and drink a good wine from the area.
Very good...

Located near the Porta Ovile, this restaurant serves a limited number of dishes (antipasti, primi, secondi and dolce) presented on a handwritten menu. The dishes are just exceptional. Among the dishes tried, I ate rabbit with black pepper. This was tasty. The service is fantastic. The wine is served in a very original manner. Walk 15 minutes away from the Piazza del Campo and discover this fantastic place.
