My stay started with a shock. I arrived at 9 pm Sunday evening and the reception was closed. The phone number on the door did not work and staff at the Chinese restaurant next door did not know whether the hotel was open. Fortunately I met another guest who told me the door code. Inside there is a poorly marked box where room keys for guests arriving after reception hours are kept.
The hotel is neither great nor bad. Rooms are okay but much of the interior is of either very simple quality or rather old. There is no fridge, air conditioning or hair dryer. Plug adapters for electrical appliances are sold at the reception for 5 CHF.
The breakfast which is served by the receptionist is quite fine. The coffee is excellent. Bread rolls, croissants, butter, jam and honey are served, as well as juices. Service was friendly.
Room rates, which were 130 CHF for a single when I stayed, are reasonable value for Geneva (but certainly only for Geneva).More
