We booked a table for Saturday night online after reading reviews on TripAdvisor.

We arrived to the restaurant which looked empty but were then taken around the corner where there were a handful of tables taken and were shown to our table. The table had to be pulled out for one of us to be seated on the back wall due to the crammed in amount of tables. There were 9 tables along the wall in front of the kitchen with barely 5 inches between them. When the people to our right left - the waitress had to remove the table to let them out, when the table to our left left there was no one around to move their table so we had to move our table to let the lady out.

The waitress serving was very polite and friendly and was very helpful when we ordered our food - explaining what certain dishes were where the English translation wasn't clear. We ordered soup and goats cheese salad to start - both of which were very tasty and both large portions. For main we had Salmon fillet and a burger - again both were very tasty and very big. We had the lemon meringue tart for dessert which was delicious.

The wine selection was ample and a lot of it was reasonably priced.

The overall price would have been expensive compared to prices in England but average for the cost of a good meal in Geneva. We then got 30% off as we had book through TripAdvisor which was great.

I would recommend this restaurant to eat on an evening in Geneva as the taste and quality was brilliant.
I would return if i went back to Geneva but i would definitely request a less crammed in table as i think sitting so close to the neighbouring tables is definitely a negative point which needs addressing.

We booked through TripAdvisor and surprisingly got a 30% discount. The restaurant figured it out after we paid and gave us cash back. Wine was good- very small pour. We had the escargot which was delicious!! Nice touch with bread and shaved smoked ham. My sea bream was filleted table side and was perfect. My husband had beef which was average at best and they neglected the bearnaise sauce.

Best meal we've had in 3 weeks in Europe between Germany, Luxembourg, France and Switzerland. Worth the time to get to and wait if needed. Ask for the table in front of the glass so you can watch the kitchen work. This kitchen staff was an absolute joy to watch work. Simply majestic and a pleasure to witness their passion for perfection in a pristinely clean kitchen. Worth every penny and cannot recommend it enough!

Le Bistrot de Charlotte is located in a street closed off from traffic, so makes for a very pleasant evening having dinner outside.

Everything about Le Bistrot de Charlotte was outstandingly good. The setting (tables had white linen tablecloths), the quality of the food, the presentation and the highly professional service.

We chose the 55CHF 3 course menu giving many tempting dishes. We were given complimentary tapenade and fresh bread. To start, one chose the mixed salad, which was fresh and lightly dressed, the other chose the mi-cuit foie gras which was a generously sized slice of very good quality pate. We both chose the grilled turbot for mains which was exceptionally fresh and filleted by the waitresses and was accompanied by fresh green salad.

For desserts one chose the marinaded cherries and the other chose Café Gourmand which comprised of chocolate mousse, sorbet, fresh fruit and biscuits. They were sumptuous.

We chose a bottle of Malbec Argentinian red wine 39CHF which was good value.

Throughout the meal the service was professional, impeccable, attentative and faultless.

We cannot praise this restaurant more highly. In fact it probably rates as one of the very best meals that we have had in quite a while and again, for quality and service the three-course menu is exceptionally good value (for Geneva).

The best evening of my life apart from getting married & giving birth of course. Exquisite meal & gorgeous bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. We went for the 3 courses with a disc of 30%. Wonderful service, the girls were so good. They prepared the cooked fish at our table, also the crepe Suzette. We couldn't pour our own wine as they instinctively knew when we needed more. They did not crowd our table but were attentive when required. The food was amazing and I loved the mash potato with truffle oil. The portions were plenty & the desserts to die for. Fairly busy. I would go back to Geneva just to eat here. Compared to the rest of Geneva this was the only establishment that didn't cost the earth and I loved every minute here as did my son & husband
