The hotel is conveniently located in Old Town, near shops and restaurants and a cathedral. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us several great restaurant recommendations. Breakfast at the hotel was also nice.
- Free Wifi
As we were flying out of Geneva at the end of a two-week visit to Switzerland, we looked for a quiet locale in the old town to spend two nights. We took a city bus from the main train station to the Rive stop, a five minute walk from the hotel. The location was ideal for shopping, walking along the lakefront, and enjoying meals in pleasant surroundings. Reception was friendly and efficient, our room was quiet and clean, and the breakfast included in the room price was very good. The hotel provided a card for free bus travel to include travel to the airport. Upon departure, we took the #10 bus, a five minute walk from the hotel, to Geneva Airport, a trip that took 35 minutes.
I traveled in early September with my husband and 10 month old baby, reserving joined rooms with one bathroom (so two rooms that were connected via private hallway and one bathroom). Rooms 313/314. I recommend this combination for anyone traveling with kids or who want to have their own room without paying a lot. I know CH is expensive, but felt this hotel was of an excellent value however I saw other rooms and am glad we got this larger combination. Collectively, I would give this hotel an A+ for value.
Location wise, it was ~$50 taxi from the airport. We chose not to take public transport because we were traveling with a baby and didn't want to deal with it at 8am after a red-eye from America. The staff let us leave our luggage while we tried to stay awake :) - this was easy to do as you can walk to the cathedral, lake, flower clock, water fountain, shopping, etc. you are steps away from good dining or <5 minutes away to more dining choices and a well priced super market. There are buses and trams down the hill. We never used public transport while here and easily walked everywhere. Take note, this hotel is on a hill.
the hotel had a decent rooftop if you want to save $ you can bring your takeaway up there and just buy a drink. The views weren't that great but offered a literal change of scenery.
Breakfast was nice. You can order eggs but we never did. What was out was good enough (Standard European continental breakfast).
The wifi was good, but worked better in the common areas.
Staff were hospitable. Called us a cab, nice and attentive at breakfast, collected a package for us. Note that reception is closed from 2200-0700 but they give you a fob to get in.
Overall a great value, no frills, clean hotel in a well situated area of Geneva. Would stay here again.
Good location, easy access to many interesting places, streets. Small rooms but clean.
Friendly and helpful staffs. No fridge and air-condition in the rooms !
Wireless connection was good.
This is a gem of a hotel. Though small, the room is very comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The shared fridge (private compartments) and use of the kitchen is an extra bonus. But ABOVE all is the wonderful roof garden with a panoramic view of Geneva and the jet d'eau. The location is fabulous with easy access to all the usual shops as well as the charming old part of the city. Access to all the public busses or trams to all the places one might want to visit. This is really a a great hotel and an excellent value. Did I mention the fabulous breakfasts and the helpful staff??
Very nice hotel for a few days in Geneva! Nothing special as such, but clean and good and reliable. Friendly staff and a quite all right breakfast buffet. Good value and a safe choice! Would definitely stay here again!
