This hotel is very old and therefore it does not have air conditionining, however, the staff has placed a fan in each room and when you open the window, you shouldn't be hot. The only problem is the noise coming out from outside. I had a single room, small but very efficient. The hotel is a boutique and absolutely beautiful and warm. Best location, the staff are amazing, food is great and would definitely stay there again, and again. Thank you!

This hotel is in a really old building but it is well maintained. The staff were very friendly and helpful - they even parked out car, for a fee of course but we didn't have to worry about it as the hotel was hard to get to in a vehicle - or we didn't know how to get to it. Rooms were very spacious and nice - had a fridge and very large restroom. The breakfast was very good and even had American bacon and Tabasco :) It was well located walking distance to the restaurants and river and shops. Did not have a view, or our room didn't, but the room did have a fan.

Great location close to all you want. Hotel staff were very helpful from the start. Room had a beautiful balcony but sadly it rained most of the time we were in Lucerne. Car parking cost were high compared to other places we have stayed at.

My wife and I stayed for three nights as part of our tour of Italy and Switzerland.

We arrived mid morning at the hotel and our room wasn’t ready which we were not expecting. They committed to a time and headed out to enjoy Lucerne.

We returned later to find our room not ready so we hung out for a while until it was. The hotel gave us a half bottle of champagne because the room wasn’t ready when they had committed which was a nice gesture.

We were in room 203. This on the second floor and overlooked Bahnhofstrasse. There was a gigantic fan pushing air around the room and no A/C. The person who responded that there was A/C in the Q&A must have been in a different level of room.

This said, the room was stifling hot even with the fan to stir the air. The room had two windows and opening them both cooled the room a little. There was a huge amount of noise from the street until the early hours on all the nights we stayed. We had the choice of poaching with the windows closed or being kept awake with revelers passing under our window.

The bathroom was very small and was badly in need of an update.

There was a coffee station right outside our room which made waking up a little easier than it might have been.

WiFi was also hit or miss. In our room, half our devices connected and half did not. The front desk said that there were too many devices in the hotel. WiFi worked on the mezzanine and front desk area. I finally hit on leaving my iPad at the front desk in the evening when we headed out for dinner so it could sync photographs we had taken that day.

Why did I give the hotel four stars? The staff were friendly and the location is hard to beat. Staying in a five-hundred year old inn is something to say we have done, but, next time I would choose a different hotel. If I were to stay at the hotel next time, I would choose a higher level of room (hopefully with AC) and a room not on the Main Street.

Loved this place in a special city. Lucern is magical with its history. We walked quite a bit and the location was ideal for getting around. There is a great deal of culture and the lake and mountains are amazing.
