This is an informal setting, with reduced menu but also an excellent salad. The wine choice of Tuscany wines was fantastic for our group of 14 people.
If you look for a quiet dinner en tête à tête, forget it this is not your place BUT if you want an informal evening after-ski party and have great fun then this La Baracca is the place to be !
A little bit noisy but who cares, it's great fun, good food and AMBIENTE GUARANTEED !!
Price quality for ST Moritz standards is ok, don't expect gastronomy but go there for the great fun, nice music and happy young and still young-feeling people ! Won't be disappointed !
Don't forget your cash as creditcards are not accepted.

This Place is simple amazing.

You stand in front of it and think to yourself: where the hell did the concierge of my hotel send me to...

If you are in it’s like being in the Wild West.
You sit on long benches together with people you have never seen before but you become friends in less than 2 minuets.

After dinner, the food by the way is excellent, I recommend to everyone the “Carpaccio Assado” the party starts. The tables are turned into a dance floor and people have a ball of a good time. Thanx to Mad Max, the owner, a ball of a character.

Any questions?? Go and find out by yourself. That is if you are able to obtain a table of course ..... Good luck folks. It is definitely worth a try.

Excellent food. Basic menu with only a hand full of dishes. “Hornli “ elbow nudle with mincet-meat and apple sauce. Basic Swiss fare, excellent combo(unexpected).
They also have a carpaccio lightly grilled with mashed potato and chimichuri. Exceptional choose. Rustic place nice Italy Argentinian wine selection.

This place has a great atmosphere. It is always crowded with a lot of confusion. The waiters are not kind because they think they worked in the best place on earth. There is no menu with the prices, not even a wine list. The first course they offer is green salad and tortellini.... nothing special. The second course was better. When it comes to pay the bill (120 Francs / person) they don’t accept credit cards.... and nobody told you about it. When we explained the waiter we were not informed about this when we did the reservation, he just answered “it’s la Baracca you should have know that” (?)
I won’t return

Well, it’s St.Moritz, nobody should blame the prize here or at least not moan over it.
The Baracca offers good food in craftmens style. I don’t blame the idea, what I certainly missed was the size of the portions of which a real craftsmen most probably would starve.
Wines are not prized in a list, better ask the waitress before ordering. They have decent wines but hopelessly overpriced.
Overall it is a fun place with a very high price tag, space is limited you eat tight elbow by elbow.
Calculate a minimum of 100 francs per person for a diner. You still go for a burger afterwards.. :-)
