We have stayed in this hotel for the last three years and off and on over the previous couple of decades.
We are always made very welcome and the staff are a joy to see each time we come.

The hotel is centrally placed and about 15 minutes walk down to the station. It takes a little longer going the other way!

Our rooms have always been very nice and the downstairs dining room is very welcoming. Catering for a gluten and wheat free diet is no problem and both the normal and the gluten free meals are equivalent.

The food is always tasty and there is a good selection of wines and grappa.

With the provided "village card" it is easy to get around the area without continuing expense. This is a real bonus and great money saver.

The single lasting memory of our visit is how special all of the staff made us feel. We have stayed at a variety of hotels in Switzerland with various claims to fame but none of them match the Monopole in getting it all right.
Absolutely full marks.

My friend and I had a great stay! We spent two wonderful days here. Every part of our stay was perfect: The staff were so friendly, helpful, caring, and professional!
The hotel has an excellent location close to everything. The Chantarella funicular is only a two-minute walk away. The receptionist gave us a free pass to use the cable car, busses and train.
Our- room was nice and comfortable and the beds were like heaven.
Breakfast was good, and we loved to relax at the rooftop spa and roof terrace enjoying the breath-taking lake views
We would highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed at the Art Boutique Hotel Monopol at the Via Maistra, in St Moritz for 2 nights .. I am enclosing the address and visiting card of the Hotel ..( I am not sure if Monopol Hotel at Trip adviser here is the same property )
It's located in the high street and close to the centre of town .. Though we did not avail , I am told the Hotel picks u from the train station if informed in advance ... and they did arrange to drop us post check out ... so that was cool ! The bus station is round the corner , plenty of eating options and so is the first train station to Piz Nair .. All the high end designer shops are next door ....
The deluxe rooms are comfortable , though would not classify them large .. we had 2 rooms and both overlooked the church tower and the lake ... they did provide us with Tea/ Coffee kettle & tray and the bathrooms were modern with essential toiletries ..
We were really impressed by the Hotel staff .. very warm welcome , personalised guidance and right through our stay it was a superb boutique experience ..
Good breakfast in the morning with eggs to order and even the chef and manager would come by to check if we wanted something special ....and they did provide us once with an on the house service ..... !!
On the top floor is the Jacuzzi with transparent glass looking outward to the mountains and lake ... very classy !. You are given bathrobes etc if u just want to walk up from ur room ...
Adjoining is the terrace and the bar ... first rate place to just hang out , relax and cherish the view ...

This property is right in the middle of town and provides a high standard of comfort. Our first floor room was on a corner and overlooked the town square, with lots of cupboards, 3 sets of opening windows and plenty of space. High quality bathroom, nice restaurant, spa. It's heated but not air conditioned, but was cool in warm weather when windows were opened.
Staff are friendly and helpful. A pleasant stay.

Very central boutique hotel. Room was smallish and well heated, which was no good on a summer night at 27 degrees. No air conditioner unfortunately but windows open ( on to noisy streets). Room was comfortable and the bar and Italian restaurant downstairs were nice. Food portions on the small size. Breakfast was reasonable. Staff were lovely. Lake is a ten min walk down the hill.

Dear Skytourist
Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experience with us.

We are happy you generally enjoyed your stay with us, but take your comments serious to maximize our customer satisfaction. In our area - as 27 degrees day temperatures are not very often - hotels do not have a/c in general. You did right when opening the windows and we are very sorry to hear there was noise outside in the pedestrian zone.

Nevertheless, we hope to have the chance to welcoming you back and remain at your disposal for any further assistacne.

Best regards,
Dominik Zurbruegg, Host
