The James Joyce Foundation is located about two blocks from Paradeplatz and behind the Augustinerkirche. The Strauhof museum is located on the main floor and the young man working there was very helpful. Proceed to the top floor, step over/around the rope, and this is where you will find an extremely helpful and service minded staff.
I mostly conversed with Sabrina and she was great. She explained the exhibit the different rooms and items on offer. Sabrina also explained, though they do not loan out any of the books, one is always welcome at any time to stop by to view or read the books on premises. There are many personal accessories from Joyce on display here in addition to many original works. This exhibit hosts the most comprehensive Joyce collection in Europe. The Foundation also sponsors reading groups from Joyce works on Tuesday or Thursday evenings and sometimes hosted by Fritz Senn.
No elevator/lift access for the physically challenged; otherwise, the staff here should be well recognized for the pride in their work. Recommended tour one can view in less than one hour.
