Beat Caduff's wind loft is famous for its amazing wine cellar. To choose your bottle you go to the cellar where the chef advices you personally.
But also our food was top: we went for the five-course venison menu with cheese.
From the pâté to the roast saddle of venison the food was great.
Not to forget his interesting selection of cheese for dessert.
An amazing dining experience with competent service!

Located in a somewhat remote district of Zurich this restaurant is worth a visit. Food is exquisite, very tasty and subtle. Staff is very effective and nice. And the wine cellar is a place where we can easily spend hours to choose the right bottle. Try a pinot noir from Burgundy!

I would give this place six stars if I could! For people serious about their wine and food, this should do it for you (it's Michelin rated for a reason!). The wine selection is so large it takes up the downstairs cellar, and is divvied up by country of origin. Our server told us we could go downstairs and pick out the bottles ourselves. Which we promptly did, and then she chilled them for us. There's nothing cheap about the food or wine selection (main courses were between 35-55 francs per dish; the wines were 60-100 francs per bottle). Obviously these are generic averages, but my point is that even though it's not cheap, it's worth every single franc. The service was stellar, and the food and wine made this dinner one of the highlights of our entire trip. Recommend making a reservation.

Words can not express the grandness of this experience! And it is clear all guests and parties hear always receive world class treatment. We met the owner Beat Caduff and chefs, we got to explore thier extensive wine cellar collection and received his personalized advice to help us choose. The staff is amazing and attentive and so clearly places live care and pride in every aspect of their service. We went as a family of seven. We indulged ourselves with two bottles of red and two bottles of white all scintillating. All of our meals were expertly crafted. I had a parmesan cheese soup that I will forever crave again, and a vegetarian dish with a delicate cream sauce light pasta and amazingly fresh seasonal vegetables, My husband and several of our party had roasted duck, one of us had the salmon and another the venison and it was all perfection.♡ As we struggled with our so-so german speaking skills the waitress noticed and very kindly helped us translate every detail of the menu... her recommendations to our table were brilliant and we thank her endlessly for that. ♡♡♡ I wish I had pictures because words just don't cover it.
