A fantastic place to visit and experience just how good fine dinning can be in the land of the Swiss. Beat, (Mr Caduff) speaks a very colorful English as a few other languages (I am sure just as colorfully). His menus are of perfect design, but it is his privately collected wine cellar (all 100+2m of it) that is out of this world. I have lived decades in Switzerlands corporate world of contract dinners and Christmas parties, even Private dining experiences. However, now of them come close to the elegant pairing and passion Beat has for his wine and food.
PRO TIP 1, make a reservation, save room for Cheese desert, the selection is out of this world, second only to a French formageri, kept under a large glass show case temperature controlled just above the stairs to the wine cellar.
PRO TIP 2, book the wine tasting (7 different wines) come early, place you dinner order before your tasting and talk with Beat about what you like in wines. He will undoubtedly find a perfect match for your taste, food and pocket book. Stay long into the night and enjoy yourself. You have earned it and the service makes you feel well rewarded.

Every day a new menu based on fresh ingredients. A very large wine cellar. Very good service in selecting wine but also in serving and advising.

Had a great degustation meal (4courses) the food portions are generous and you would have to be a big eater to eat the 5 course degustation.

The food was spectacular in both taste and presentation, service friendly and efficient.

The real focus for me though was the wine cellar, the wine list is really just the wines by the glass. You go downstairs to the cellar and choose a bottle from the thousands there with the help of the owner, on this visit i selected a prefefectly preserved 1976 Burgundy.

The only negative was a selfish table that had brought some young children (3ish) that were allowed to run amok squealing and carrying on, with no effort made to quieten them.

Will go again when i am in Zurich and recommend it highly if you are a wine enthusiast.

We were 8 friends on a Saturday evening, we wanted to order the game menu, which is available only for the whole table. We asked if it was possible for 7 as one of the friends is pregnant and cannot eat game, but it was not possible. In general the service was not great, the impression is that it is not well organized - we had to wave to waiters to have the wine poured (the bottle was placed on the bar and not on our table) or just to have more bread. It's a pity as the food is excellent and the wine cellar in the basement is really great with a quality selection of wines from different regions.

We went for a dinner during the game season 2016. Beat Caduff is a passionate hunter, you can see and feel this especially during this time of the year. We decided for the 5 course game menu - a very good choice. Very solid and good dishes, not too creative but very tasty and rich in flavours. A highlight is always to chose the wine in the cellar of Beat Caduff. Some really rare bottles as well as a good selection from smaller producers around the globe. The chef recommends up to every guests liking and budget.
