“very nice space which I would visit again”
Reviewed 1 November 2016 for a stay in October 2016

We found the apartment to be very comfortable and have all that we needed for a pleasant few nights. The space is very clean, tidy and comfortable with plenty of space in all rooms. It's nice and quiet and we enjoyed being in the relative tranquility of the Peak District, a lovely little hideaway, we were very happy with our choice. Many thanks, we look foward to another booking sometime soon.

“Good central location”
Reviewed 8 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Longnor is on a north south / east west crossroad. This makes it the ideal location to explore the area. The village has all of the necessary requirements meaning you don't have to travel any distance if you run out of milk. Once inside, the accommodation is perfect for a visiting couple, very clean and well appointed. The only downside is that there isn't WIFI, so if you need to update your Kindle reading list, do it before you leave home. We would certainly return.

Thank you Mike. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We take on board all your feedback and as the tenants have now vacated the downstairs property we can work on the entrance to the property too. We are turning the downstairs apartment into holiday accomodation too for doggies and their owners. Should you need wi-fi, it is available in the cafe downstairs and in certain places in the apartment, you can also pick it up. I will put a note in future to advise guests. I can't live without something decent on the Kindle.

“Bank House - Longor = Not long enough”
Reviewed 1 September 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Stayed for 3 nights at bank house, could have stayed longer at Longnor, excellent countryside. Café below was a bit of a greasy spoon and the local pub gave basic pub grub. if you want good food go to the Pack Horse Inn just less then a mile out. Best Curry I have ever had

Thank you for your review and we are pleased that you enjoyed yourself in Longnor. The cafe downstairs is a favourite with the locals, we like our fry-ups in this part of the world. You might have noticed a team of builders at The Grapes on the market place. They are opening their doors on the 10th September and are promising Bistro style food. You will have to come back and try it.

Beautiful part of the Peak District and handy for Buxton and all the old railway cycle trails.
Buses run from the door to Buxton and Ashbourne..Shop and cafes close by.
Locals very friendly.
