A friend and I stayed one night while traveling around the Netherlands in early October. We arrived with a rental car and even with 3 different GPS systems and a few phone calls to the hotel the directions and address to the parking garage were very confusing for visitors! But once we found the parking garage, which is part of a shopping center, it was a short walk to the hotel. We were told we could access the parking 24/7 but this is not really the case. So it's better to take what you need with you to the hotel.
We arrived late in the evening around 9 PM since we only had 3 days to tour the Netherland so it was nice this hotel's check-in stayed open until 10 pm. This is pretty late for places outside of large cities like Amsterdam. The young man that greeted us was very nice and friendly, efficient and helpful in helping us navigate our stuff up the steep, old staircase. My friend stayed in the room at the top of the stairs to the left (Room 8?) and I climbed a few more steps to the end of the hall on the left to Room 14, which was a little more expensive. My beautiful, modern black and white bathroom provided both a spacious tub and large rain shower. I couldn't figure out how to turn on the towel heater, if it was one, but the bathroom was memorable. My room was larger than average for a US or European hotel room. Other reviewers mentioned the room is cool when you first enter. I like the fresh, cool air but did close the windows and turn on the heat. By the time we returned from dinner, my room was warm enough. Even though it was dark when we arrived, my room had these large, tall windows which created an open and airy atmosphere. When the room-darkening drapes were closed, I slept well! I was too tired to turn on the flat screen TV. But did open my laptop and used the free wifi, which worked great. Hardwood floors were nice touch too.
We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel restaurant due to our travel schedule. The dinner was nice. Breakfast okay and it was not included, we paid extra. Service was slightly better at night, more attentive and prompt in attending to your dining needs.
We also really like the city centre location. There's some nice sights to see nearby like Paleis Het Loo, but it closed on 9/30/2018 :(
