I stayed in this hotel for one night in room 432. I appeared at the hotel much earlier than anticipated with the staff offering me a free welcome drink and the opportunity to lock my bags in a safety closet. I went for a wonderful swim in an amazing clean and well kept swimmingpool with a lovely outside view. On my return I asked the reception staff member if there is a way that I can check in earlier than the prescribed time. With a huge smile on her face she dialled “room services” and within minutes I was given a lovely room with views to the forest. I am so disappointed that I did not get her name! She deserves an acolade for brilliant customer service. Thank you so much for walking the extra mile. The room was exceptionally clean and spacious with great surprises (which just adds a lovely touch to the word “hospitality”) that included two free bottles of bottled water, toiletries and a coffee machine!!!!!👍🏻I ordered a toastie for lunch which was more than I expected: it came with a lovely salad and an boiled egg. It was really tasty and so well presented. The breakfast was great too with someone making a special omelette with ham, cheese and tomato. It really made my day. Upon packing my bags, I could not find my passport. I was stressed and when I reported it, Isa at the front desk was so helpful, kind and friendly. She asked me if I wanted a drink and what I would like her to do? I responded by saying if she could please help me unpack my suitcase for maybe If I missed it looking for it in a panic state. She assured me all the time to relax while we unpacked the suitcase ... and then I found it - tucked away in a book!!!!!! I cannot express my gratitude for all the staff who really made my stay unforgettable. Thanks Isa for assisting me in such a kind and generous way. You all deserve a bonus this Christmas. It is very easy to reach the hotel from Apeldoorn station. Exit the station and follow the signs for the bus station which has terminals marked by alphabetic letters. Go to F and take Bus 202 naar Zwolle via Vaasen Heerde and get off at “Gedenknaald”. The hotel is then on your left a few hundred meters away. The hotel is also within walking distance to the “Het Loo Palace” which is a museum within a huge park.

The general feeling from the reception and restaurant staff was unfriendly, non service minded and cold. We were a small group checking in in the evening after many hours on the road. We wanted to eat in the restaurant, but we could not as we had not reserved any tables, even though the restaurant was empty. Neither could they give us advice on where to go. We ended up eating at a restaurant further down the road, they were very friendly and good food! I would definitely not stay here again.

At first glance this looks like a good deal: modern, spacious rooms at a great location and the prices aren't high. Unfortunately a plumbing problem filled the room with a strong sewer odor. The reaction of the staff to a complaint was rude to say the least. Do not recommend.
