We really enjoyed staying at this hotel, it was a nice weekend away, with a beautiful view and beautiful walking paths through the forest. We had a few issues as listed below, but overall our experience was nice!
We found the room to be very cold and no matter how high we set up the temperature the heater simply wasn't able to accommodate the size of the room. The room was also very dark, with no proper light in the middle, just lamps and spots all around. While it makes it nice and romantic, when you actually need to see it's super difficult.
The staff at breakfast was a bit rude. We ordered two fried eggs and they told us we can wait to the side or go do a round and get more things. We waited while keeping our distance from other customers in the sight of the staff, and when the eggs were ready they put them in everyone's else plates (all who arrived after us) as if we were not even there. When we asked about it they said 'well I'm making new eggs you can wait'....
We asked for bath robes (which were included in the price of the hotel), but we didn't get these. When we asked about it, we were told the hotel is out of bath robes and they are getting new ones on Monday. I mean, how can you run out of bath robes as a spa hotel with saunas and a pool... We had to wrap lots of towels around us and wear outside clothes to the pool (which you can only access through an outside garden), which felt strange. The least that could have been done was to let us know in advance with a short message and apology, we would have brought our own from home.
The first evening we ordered a wine around 19:55, at which point the staff told us they have to be really quick bringing it because of COVID-19 regulations. My partner asked if drinking it is an issue too, as this was our first time outside the house in months and we were not sure about hotel regulations, but they said "no, no, that's fine, I just have to bring it". At 20:13 the same staff member came saying they have to pick up the glass because it's too late and he's not allowed to drink it anymore. We of course understand the rule, but we specifically asked if drinking it was a problem, otherwise we would have not ordered it to drink it in 15min... In addition, the dinner buffet doesn't feel very safe at all, with everyone touching the same plates, forks etc. Not sure how horeca can be closed, but this is allowed...
