As always … stylish, comfortable and in a perfect location from which to explore the amazing city of Amsterdam. Friendly professional service and excellent food (we had breakfast and dinner in Bridges and dinner in Oriole - all great meals).

I had the most amazing and insightful visit of this amazing hotel with its fabulous history and impressive art.
Our guide, Anne Sibre, was the best ever !
Very well informed and immensely joyful, she made the visit an highlight of my trip in Amsterdam !

The hotel and staff were excellent in every way. Professional, polite and were happy to go out of their way for us.

On our return journey home to the UK we managed to leave a rucksack with our passports in at one of the busy tram stops near the hotel in Central Amsterdam! On arrival at Amsterdam Central train station we realised what we had done and rushed back to the tram stop just to find the rucksack had gone. We telephoned the Police, County Hall and the tram company but were advised nothing had been handed in and to go to the airport and ask for a travel document to be produced so we could fly home. At the airport we quickly found that EasyJet were not very helpful and just advised us to go to the Hague. Our hearts sank. Then....a phone call from the hotel. The Police had called them to say our rucksack had been handed in by a shop. Without hesitation, the hotel sent someone to get our rucksack from the Police station, bring it back to the hotel and put it in a taxi meet us at the airport. The taxi arrived, our flight was delayed by 1 hour and we managed to catch the same flight home that we were originally booked on. Unbelievable!! Without the hotel staff this would never have happened. They were absolutely outstanding in every way and we are in their debt.

This is a very special hotel with lovely people working there. I won’t try to name everyone here, but thank you all so much. I had a special time.
Also, I recommend the hotel to anyone planning to stay in Amsterdam. It has excellent and spotlessly clean rooms in a centrally-located building of historic importance. It is the best hotel in Amsterdam.

Room tip: Restaurants are great. Eat outside in the courtyard in the summer.

Great location and nice courtyard to relax away from the busy streets in the area. The service and food was okay but not outstanding. The menu options seemed limited and the presentation was fair.

Clean and nice choice but there may be some hotels with a slightly higher standard.

This is a beautiful hotel of historic importance, perfectly situated in the heart of Amsterdam. It has two excellent restaurants and many well-designed and spotlessly clean rooms. But its greatest asset are the professional, kind, and thoughtful people who work there. I would unreservedly recommend the hotel to anyone.
