Very nice hotel

We chose this hotel because the rates were so much better than the extortionate rates in the centre of Amsterdam. Getting there from the airport was so easy - it's one stop on the train. And getting into the centre is also quick and easy. The area is lovely and quiet away from the mad centre area but it has plenty of restaurants and bars too.
The hotel is clean and modern and the rooms very nice. There is a fridge and a safe and plenty of storage space. The bathroom is a good size and very clean.
We did have a problem on checking in, in that we had prepaid for the rooms by credit card and were then charged tax for both rooms which I paid by debit card. There was then one complete mess with the hotel charging my credit card again. I queried it and was told the original payment was a "deposit". But it wasn't, it was the entire payment. All that needed to be done was cancel the second charge. However it became a huge issue and was only actually sorted out when I got home. It was a shame because apart from this it was a perfect stay.

I made a reservation on line for April 2025 of 2 rooms for 5 days each for our family.

I intended to book both rooms on my computer at the "free cancellation rate".

I am an elderly 75 year old and not very good on computers and can make errors,

I booked the first room at that rate, but , by accident, a few seconds later I booked the second room on the "no free cancellation" rate. When I noticed my mistake 10 minutes later I phoned up to inform them of my error and requested the second booking be changed to be also the "free cancellation" rate ". Their response was a flat " NO, the booking CANNOT be changed ! "

I find this to be disgraceful service when it is CLEARLY obvious that a genuine mistake was made when one booking is for one rate and the other booking made at the same moment is for a different rate and that they were informed of the error immediately.

Since your booking was made through Booking.com, any cancellations or changes must be handled through their platform. We did receive a request from Booking.com to waive the cancellation fee for your non-refundable booking, which we agreed to, but it still needs to be processed by Booking.com.

Service was excellent at this hotel.

On the morning of our check out, our pre-arranged transport didn’t show up. Shan, the front desk manager tried to contact the driver without success. He then quickly arranged for a taxi to fetch us to Centraal to catch the train to Paris. We are grateful for his help, without which we may have missed the train.

Had one of the most comfortable and pleasant stay in my long traveling experience. Reception staff has been by far the most helpful, kind and understanding I ever had the chance to deal with.
Had several personal setbacks and they have been supporting me like I was one of their family member.
An ideal example of what the hotel experience should look like.

I spent one night for a business trip at the Crown Plaza Amsterdam South and everything was ok : the room was just nice with a lot of place, light and air.

One element which was lagging is the quality of the answers received from the front-desk staff when I asked something about my loyalty program, and when I asked to get the same room for a forthcoming stay. I din't get the right or expected answer, which was disappointing.

Hotel is a short train ride from Airport and only 10 minutes by metro M52 into central station. Also Tram 5 available. City tax not explained by guy on reception. Was charged a small amount on check in but a large amount on departure. Breakfast was lovely

Room tip: If you are staying a few days get the 3, 4 or 5 day travel ticket that can be used.

It is delightful to hear that you appreciated our advantageous location, nestled in the vibrant 'Zuidas' area and so well-connected to the airport and city centre. We indeed aim to offer a peaceful retreat from the city's hustle while maintaining easy access to its attractions.

Apologies for any confusion regarding the city tax. We will take your feedback into account to ensure our communication about it is clearer in the future. To further clarify this matter. No charge will be performed upon check-in. Although on your phone it might appear as a deduction - it is in fact a pre-authorization that will only be charged upon check-out. Based on your feedback, we will look into an optimal way to communicate this to our guest.

On a side note, we are glad the breakfast served at our hotel provided a great start to your day. Our team takes great pride in offering a wide array of dishes, including warm, cold, and freshly cooked options.
