We just agree with the other recent reviews - very welcoming staff when we arrived, room spotless, position excellent, a few steep stairs if you have a top room, usual for the city. We gave it "5" because that's what it is in it's own class, which is good value for money.

Great location, close to Rembrandtplein: you can easily walk to city center or to many other city attractions like Van Gogh Museum or Rijksmuseum. A tram stop is also only 200 metres away. The room was clean and spacious, windows were not directly facing the street so it was very quiet too. The staff has been kind and helpful in many ways. Recommended, good value for money. One last comment: there are steep stairs and no lift, absolutely no problem for us but something you might take into account.

Great location. Charming host. Spotless rooms. What more do you need!
Spent a long weekend here with friends and had a great time. As with all houses in Amsterdam there are plenty of stairs to negotiate.

The hotel is in a great location on Rembrandtplein. Rembrandtplein has so many bars and restaurants to choose from, it is very centrally located so very close to almost everything in Amsterdam and the tram stops right on the square so very easy to take the tram to Central Station or other parts of the city. The hotel has done an excellent job with updated windows which are important to keep the late night noise out. I knew it would be noisy and busy on Rembrandtplein which is why I chose the location, but the windows in the hotel rooms really were impressive at keeping out the noise. I would stay here again for sure!

Very central with many shops and bars nearby.
Room 22 is really nice and decorarted.
The room is basic and is in the 3rd floor, basic shower.
Very nice vintage decoration.
For us the stairs were not a problem at all, but you should take it in count when booking this hotel.
