Hotel is in a very good location. The hotel has an old school interior style, which is cool. The rooms are a pretty decent size (2x single beds). The television had different language settings which helped to find some English television. The only issue was the stairs. probably the steepest stairs I've climbed. wouldn't probably recommend to young families with kids and prams or the elderly as it is quite an effort to get up and down them.

Before we choose this hotel we looked it up and the reviews were not all that good, I don't know what happened to those people but our experience in the hotel was great! The staff is very nice, kind and helpful (we had a few things we needed to do, just ask them and they would be more than happy to help) the location of the hotel is incredible, right next to Rembrandtplein with a lot of restaurants and bars, the tram station is very close which makes everything easy and there is a coffee shop on the other side of the street.
All and all we had a great trip and the hotel was a big part of it. I would highly recommend you to check in with hotel Imperial and I'm pretty sure you won't be disappointed

Amsterdam is amazing and really easy to visit, everything is near.
Hotel imperial is very central in the beautiful rembrandt square, lot of restaurants, cafè and shops. Easy to reach from the station and near to the rest of the attactions

We just agree with the other recent reviews - very welcoming staff when we arrived, room spotless, position excellent, a few steep stairs if you have a top room, usual for the city. We gave it "5" because that's what it is in it's own class, which is good value for money.

Great location, close to Rembrandtplein: you can easily walk to city center or to many other city attractions like Van Gogh Museum or Rijksmuseum. A tram stop is also only 200 metres away. The room was clean and spacious, windows were not directly facing the street so it was very quiet too. The staff has been kind and helpful in many ways. Recommended, good value for money. One last comment: there are steep stairs and no lift, absolutely no problem for us but something you might take into account.
