We stayed 1 night at this guest house. From the moment we walked in we were warmly welcomed and really liked the atmosphere. The decor is really nice, a mixture between old and modern. The bedroom was very comfortable, clean, cozy and had everything we need. Chris & David are very friendly and made our stay very much feel like a home but yet with our own space.

The location is excellent, being only a 5-10 minute walk from the red light district and the city center (lots of shops) yet in a very quiet area. There are also loads of restaurants nearby.

I highly recommend this place as you will not be disappointed.

This B&B is fantastic! The location is just a stroll away from Central Station and the Redlight District, as well as numerous cafes and restaurants. The decor is vibrant and fun, but also has a lovely homely feel to it. Chris and David were so genuine and welcoming. The combination of both them and their perfect little B&B helped to make our trip to Amsterdam very special.

We stayed 2 nights at this B&B. It's location is exactly what we were looking for - 5mins walk from Amsterdam Central Station and within the heart of the old city. We were on the doorstep of the busy Redlight District, but in a very quiet canalside location. Being so central it would only take us 10-15mins walk to reach Jordaan, The Nine Streets or the floating flower market on the outskirts.

There are more eateries than you can imagine in the immediate vicinity and a supermarket less than 100yds away. Whether you want retail therapy, culture or experience the unusual it is all amazingly close.

Our room (the smallest) was accessed via a separate front door up 2 flights of very steep narrow steps. We only had hand luggage as we were only in Amsterdam a short time, but if you had suitcases it may prove tricky to get up those stairs with them (the owners do offer to help you with your luggage). We overlooked an inner courtyard which made the room light and bright. We had complimentary wine waiting for us and a Nespresso coffee maker with a selection of coffees. The room was small but didn't feel cramped at all. We had a good sized bathroom up 3 narrow steps. Shower was very good with a good supply of shampoo, conditioner and body wash, towel mittens also provided. The only niggle with the bathroom was that the window had swollen and didn't shut properly so it was cool in there. Fortunately the heating kept it from being cold. The bedroom was always at a very nice temperature.

The owners were very helpful. We arrived before check-in time and were able to leave our bags at the B&B while we explored for a couple of hours. Our bags were taken up to our room which was a pleasant surprise. Chris gave us the tour of the place when we did check in and highlighted a local map with all the things which might be of interest to us. He even recommended local eateries. Check out was at 11am but as our train was not till the evening and we were kindly allowed to leave our bags there till we needed to go.

Breakfast was in a light airy room in the main part of the house beside the internal courtyard. Breads, cheeses, meats, salad, yoghurts, fruit, cereals and eggs (to cook to your liking) were provided. A Nespresso machine available with a huge range of coffees. The house cat was very affectionate and very well behaved in the breakfast room.

Thank you Chris and David for making our first trip to Amsterdam a wonderful one. We would definitely stay here again when we next come to Amsterdam and would highly recommend it to others.

eveything was really great about this hotel. we stayed at the large dutch room which is so cute, cosy, comfy and warm. Chris and David obviously love what they are doing, you can see this in every little detail and little treats :) they are very welcoming and thoughtful for your needs.
the location is also good; red light and Dam is very very close, and the other museum&park areas are also close and easy to go considering Amsterdam is a very small city.
perfect for young couples/groups.

Excellent location. Just off the Niewmarkt Square, we were at the heart of things without being disturbed by the noise and the crowds. Very close to good restaurants and shops. Two good Italian restaurants next door and dozens of other good restaurants on Zeedijk are literally only 100m away. Try "Bird" for good Thai food.

Our hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. They couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety and lots to eat.

Each room has a fridge, kettle and coffee maker. We will be back.

This was not a problem for us, but be aware that-typical of Amsterdam, the stairs are very steep, so if you have issues, ask for a room on the lower ground floor!

Room Tip: The top floor has twin beds and a loft with two other beds if necessary. Be aware that the stairs is very steep though. 1st floor room is lovely and bright, but be aware that one be heard in the room upstairs if talking loudly
