Great for meeting new people, friendly & professional. Would recommend for young adults travelling to the city for the first time as local transport is very accessible obviously making for an extremely easy break!

Me and my partner stayed here for a long weekend.
We wasn't expecting much as it was a decent price and we knew that it is a hostel. Location was good as only 15 mins by tram to central station and tram stop is just over the road from the hostel.
We first encountered the "stairs" to the hostel...very steep haha.
We checked in quickly and was given our key, the room was very small but was suffice as we didn't plan on staying there all day!
We didn't have a private bathroom and toilet so was a shared jobby...it was OK but more toilets would probably be better.
The staff at the hostel were very friendly and welcoming and any questions you had they would answer.
Overall a good place but don't expect much as this is only a hostel and not a 5 star establishment...you get what you pay for....would I stay again? Probably yes.

The place is well located, the staff is very helpful and available. However the acomodations were not very clean. The bedsheets were with some dust and hairs, the bathroom is really small and not very clean also, as the shower. For one night was more than enough. For more than that, I wouldn't recommend.

The main problem with the hostel was that it was quite expensive and provided very little. The rooms were tiny with small beds pushed together and the main common area couldn't fit more than around 7 people in. The location was around a 50 minute walk to the centre so the trams are defiantly required and it was useful that there was a stop right outside the hostel.

Stayed here for a night with our children (as we could find nowhere else in Amsterdam) and couldn't believe how much we paid to stay in this horrible place. To start with the entrance steps were so steep we had trouble getting our bags in, the man at the reception was shouting at some of the guests as we entered (by the look of them probably because they'd been shooting up in the loo) and it took ages before he even acknowledged us. Our room was like a prison cell (metal bunk beds and no room to swing a cat), doors slamming and guests shouting loudly all night, cigarette smoke drifting into our room and no separate loo so had to wait for people to finish showering to even use it. I think it was summed up by one of our daughters (aged 12) bursting into tears when she realised we had to stay there. I get that hostels are not luxurious but 210 euros for a family for one night - really?!!

Room Tip: Just don't bother
