My friend and I booked six beds in a six bed dormitory. The room was spacious and clean with our own bathroom and toilet. It was small but there was one over the way which was much much larger if you don't like tight spaces.

The hostel is one stop away from the city by train and several by tram, but still not much of a distance.

I would recommend this hostel to anyone I know travelling to Amsterdam in the near future.

I was a little bit afraid about staying in this hostel after reading the reviews, but it turned to be an awesome stay. The staff was super friendly and the room was cozy and clean. Toilets and shower were also clean. People in many reviews complain about the stairs, but this type of stairs is normal in the Netherlands and you can find it in almost every house, it is nothing to complain about. This hostel is a good option for students who like to go low budget but also want to enjoy and great time in Amsterdam.
I will definitely come back one day!

The receptionists were not trying to sell you that they cared about your accommodation at all and they were the loudest ones in the only common room you could be in. The common room/reception/kitchen was small and very dirty. The only other place you could be in is the room - super overcrowded and super small. And also not very clean - but the beds were, that was very important. You have to pay for everything there, so think twice if you are ordering this hostel for price: you have to pay even for towels or locks to very small box for your staff. There are no lights or plugs for charging in the room near the beds (they are normally in other hostels in Amsterdam) - just one big light for whole room and some plugs over one of the beds. So if you need to do something a little bit longer under light, you are back in the dirty common room with loud receptionist. Showers were not too clean but ok, there are few common toilets, but forget that you will find any soap there. In a shortcut - certainly not as good as other hostels in Amsterdam for similar price (Dutchies, StayOk), but also not the worst one (for me still Wow Amsterdam).

This is by far the WORST hostel I've stayed in!

First of all it's expensive and quite far from the city center. The hostel wreaks on every floor and there are flies everywhere. The security lockers don't work with most locks, so you'll probably have to rent one of their locks. And the stairs are very narrow, so you'll probably trip getting up to your floor every time.

The above issues are all minor though. What really makes this hostel bad are it's bathroom facilities and the invasiveness of its staff...

There are only 1 or 2 toilets and showers per floor. Every morning, at least one toilet would be clogged with waste and wouldn't be usable again until night time. The stench spread throughout the floor and made standing in the hallways unbearable. The showers were just as bad. One morning a girl was taking a shower and she got locked in. She was screaming for help for about 15 minutes before another traveler and I heard her screams, and we had to use a screwdriver to unlock her from the outside.

I booked the same bed for 3 nights. On the second day, I came back to find my stuff packed and moved from my room to another room! They didn't tell give me any notice and left a bunch of my stuff in the other room! When I confronted the guy at the reception, he told me that I was guaranteed a bed for 3 nights but not a bed in the same room. A group was coming in that day and they wanted to be together, so he wouldn't prevent them from rooming together just because I was there. If that was the case, he shouldn't have put me in that room in the first place! On top of that, nobody from the hostel made any attempt to contact me about this, and yes, they had my phone number and email.

Under no circumstances should you stay in this hostel. They have no hesitation about invading your privacy and have no sanitary standards.

The hostel is situated close to the center and in front of the tram station.
The room was small and full of bed: the space was so little that no more then three standing people could fit in. The room was also dirty (as the corridors, the hall, and the common area), the wifi didn't work that good.
Also the "smoking area", just 1 square meter, was in between the stairs and the main door
