After many years we returned for family purposes - nothing changed and that is a compliment. A great hotel close to the center of Zwolle and the station.
The rooms are good, clean and with enough space, the breakfast with a nice assortment to make you happy.

Great and charming hotel with clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Located just a 10 minute walk from the romantic and historic city center of Zwolle. Nice restaurant with an excellent breakfast buffet. The rooms and hotel decoration are a little bit outdated.
A great hotel with the friendliest and finest staff always keeping the guest experience front of mind. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Just a nice place with great detail to the decor. The location is central amd the area is quiet so a good night slepp is always on the cards.
Generally speaking I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Location is good close to rhe station and the park and the city center. Breakfast was excellent in a nice spacious dining rooms + veranda. Staff was correct and helpful at most times. Room was OK in size. Most my comments relate to the room:
1. No air conditioning, the small cooler they provide is not effective enough.
2. No drawers and shelves to put the cloths only hanging...not practical not satisfying when staying for a week duration.
3. No basic vanity kit nor conditioner in the bathroom...really not suited for a 4 stars hotel. I had to buy this stuff. Can't understand this kind of stupid negligence (I did ask in reception for conditioner and they confirmed they don't provide it....).
4. Poor TV offer of channels....not so critical but still ....
5. Room service shuts down very early in the evening so what's the point of it?
This hotel was excellent. About a block from the train station, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable before, windows that open and allow fresh air in, comfortable seating in the bar area, bikes you can rent, tasty and filling breakfast. I don't give reviews often because I often do not find hotel accommodations remarkable. This place was remarkable. The only thing I would wish for is that their finger food menu in the bar was a tiny more extensive along with a couple more dessert options. Highly recommend this hotel.
