Nice hotel, clean. We had roomservice for dinner, it was quick and it tasted good. They also had very nice desserts.
The beds are comfortable and the hotel is not noisy at all. I go here more often.
Breakfast is also good, they have plenty of food and it’s fresh till the end.
Large, luxurious hoyltel. Very modern but with a traditional feel. Large rooms as standard with toiletries included. Shower and full size bath. Large wardrobes. Clean and spotless hotel.
Restaurant excellent value. Bars have a vast choice of local and continental beers and spirits.

Hands down the worst hotel experience ever. Large spacious rooms with good size bath/toilet, but lacking any sense of design or decor. breakfast was undifferentiated with large queues to get to the station. Most unpolite and rude staff, i was shouted at as we exited our room around 4pm to head to the gym; bcoz we had a DND outside the room and the cleaning lady was very unhappy. She literally abused me verbally in the middle of the hotel floor and was unapologetic. We complained to the reception who politely refunded out money as we decided to cut short our trip. Please do not trust the reviews on this hotel - and avoid staying here if you can (especially if you're not DUTCH)
The hotel is situated just near the highway and has a (very) large parking lot. The entrance is big, welcoming and my check-in was a breeze. The rooms are spacious enough. There is no coffee machine but a coffee pack in which you could help yourself with instant coffee. Not my thing anyway (always in late and leave early). Furthermore everything is what you expect from a Hotel as this. Good bed, spacious rooms and quiet. They have a fitness which I tried in the (very early) am. The fitness is open 24h, so that was great. They have some cardio equipment but also some workout possibilities. It was kind of hot in there, maybe because it is close to the spa (that opens at 10:00am). Breakfast (most important meal of the day!) was very good too. Large selection of cereals and condiments. Which I like. Also several types of bread including the (famous in the north) sugar bread-loaf and (more local) 'krentwegge' (special kind of dense raisin bread). Staff is very friendly as always. So, very good van der Valk, good and decent price/quality. And for my (and think many others) purposes more than adequate.

Newer VDV property, and one of the larger ones- I counted over 300 cars in the parking lot.
Hotel room was excellent, nicely appointed.
Used the fitness room- a bit small for the size of hotel, but adequate.
Restaurant was very good, and breakfast was excellent; best in class.
Only negative is that the doors must be slammed to shut. This means that in the morning, you will hear many doors slam on your hallway--don't plan to sleep in!!
