Owner description: Nicknamed "Brussel's Oldest Citizen," this bronze statue of a little boy and a fountain was designed by Jerome Duquesnoy in 1619, and has become a familiar (and irreverent) symbol of the city.

It’s a boy peeing as a fountain, see the boy, girl, and dog to complete the holy trinity of urination statues in Brussels. Whilst it is only a statue, it feels like everyone who goes to Brussels must see it, and it gets you to the souvenir, waffles, and frites shops.

Not sure why this is the one of the most popular attractions in Brussels. But nonetheless we stopped by to see it and take a picture then left. I did like it was dressed as a Dracula. It was whatever to us. Much more to see in Brussels if your strapped for time

Its a pity the history of the statue is so vague, there are about 4 “this is the story behind it” versions. Try the waffle place directly across from it! Or the little brewery! Great atmospheres!

Great to visit this place with a bit of history. It is a must for all tourists and very popular for Japanese. There is a lovely doll house just 3 minutes up the hill with Manneken Pils in many national clothes.

We got there. Took a picture. Took a selfie. And left after three minutes. There were so many people there that trying to take a picture without having ten other people in your shot was pretty hard. This one is at least a little better than the Jeanneake Pis located not too far from here.
