Having visited a lot of expensive restaurants and eateries in Brussels I have to say you can’t beat the taste of freshly deep fried food from Fritland. It’s a small kiosk with outside seating (there is a small amount of inside seating but always ram packed) and long queues to get food but the prices and food are great, as long as you know what to expect. The sandwich hamburger is on the freshest French baton I have ever tasted, the hamburger is served with fried onions and salad, the meat of the hamburger is lower quality and wouldn’t be served in a high class burger bar but it tastes so good! The frites portions are massive, two portions between 3 people leaves tonnes of frites to spare but you will try to eat them. The chixfingers are thin chicken strips, again deep fried but amazing. Not over keen on the loempia au poulet but it was certainly passable (deep fried chicken and vegetable pastry pocket). Would recommend this as a treat and certainly worth the queuing (you will queue at least 15-30 minutes at peak times).
