This was our second visit to this restaurant. Our first visit to this restaurant was in April 2012 when it was under different management and had a different name. So now its Valentine's day 2014, pouring down rain, and we did not have a reservation at the place we wanted to go and it was booked solid. So we saw the name had changed at this place and hoped for the best. The service was very friendly and we were seated right away. We ordered a cheese naan which was basically a doughy pizza crust with what appeared to be shredded mozzarella cheese on top. We always order cheese naan if it is on the menu but we have never come across one that was more like flavorless pizza dough in all of our travels. The pompadons were the standard crisps but the chutneys were more like runny sauces with no substance. We also ordered the hot chicken wings which were heat hot but not spicy at all. I ordered the chicken vindaloo which was very spicy yet still had a good flavor. My wife ordered the chicken jalfrezzi and asked for it to be spicy and it was smoking spicy but if it had a flavor you couldn't tell for the spice so that might have been our fault. On a positive note they did serve cobra beer, not cold, but available, which is nice because a lot of Indian restaurants only serve Kingfisher. The big negative for us was the fact that it was Valentine's day and there was a guy who may or may not have been the owner, sitting at a table watching loud T.V. on his lap top. We asked if they could play some Indian music but, the guy with the lap top just started playing Bollywood music videos so be careful what you ask for. Again the service was very nice but we can not recommend the Royal Tandoori.

Wondered in this place even though there were no other customers, always something that makes me a bit nervous. Nevertheless, was in the mood for some Indian curry. Was going to order a beer when I saw the taps, but was informed they didn't work, so got a mineral water instead. My wife and i ordered two different types of curries with lamb meat with rice. The flavor of the curry was exceptional. HOWEVER... the presentation was terrible. The price for the curry dish was around 15 Euro. We ended up spending over 45 Euro for the two of us, which isn't a terrible amount for a place close to the Grand Place; however, when I saw the bill, they charged for an extra 9 Euro for the two servings of rice. This is a first. You order a curry dish and the price is for the curry along and not the accompanying starch? By the way, the waiter/proprietor was very preoccupied with texting on his smartphone the entire time we were there. The food was very good. The price, the service and atmosphere were absolutely terrible.

Wasn't the best naan I've ever had but all else was very good. The owner put some Bollywood music on his laptop once a few tables showed up (cheesy), other than that, no complaints.

We were attracted into this restaurant for a change of taste and by the buffet deal they had advertised (we are a young couple holidaying on a budget). The main waiter was very helpful and we could see they were trying to create a good atmosphere inside.

The buffet was small however the food was lovely. We piled our plates high however when we had finished the waiter and an older man sat in the corner (I'm guessing a family member) encouraged us to have more. Wish we'd have known this from the start as we would have paced ourselves!

The price was roughly €14 including a beer or coke which if you are going to make the most of the buffet (which sadly we didn't) is reasonable. The buffet selection was small but delicious and we would definitely eat here again if we came back.
