“Nice shakes ok latte”
Review of Haagen Dazs

The patio was crowded as it was a sunny day, the patio is also a smoking area so be forewarned.

That being said the shakes were very nice but the latte was only so so and service is spotty (great to non existent)

This is in a delightful square, marred only by the vagrants camping out under the awnings of the large department store over the road. It is next to an interesting church built on the original boundary of the city. As well as the usual choice of scoops (cones or tubs) they do specialities - these were delicious (although quite expensive €11 each).

The service was good, the staff friendly and we ate there twice.

Grandma was exhausted and I took my two teen grandchildren there for a treat.
The staff were so nice quickly appearing with an excellent coffee for me. The ices for the kids decorated splendidly were a hit too. A good birthday treat.

Not great in all honesty, the location is situated on a high street amongst the shops. 11 euros got you a waffle with some ice cream and sauce which a person with even the sweetest of tooths would struggled to finish more than half of. Would not go back.

This place is located one the big shopping street which makes it perfect for a stop after some hours of shopping.

The service it almost entirely in French, you can speak English but the staff tended to answer and speak to us in French. As long as you know what you want you can point at the pictures in the menu and then not worry too much about the service. The bill comes during the time you are eating, you can still stay for a longer period of time.

We tried "coffee special" or something similar, for 7€. It was worth the price as the ice cream, chocolate sauce and coffee tasted well. Don't expect the waffle on the plate to be anything special, if you want proper Belgian waffles you should try a waffle making place.

All in all it is a good spot for a break from the shopping but there are better cafes in Brussels.
