Once a great restaurant with a style all its own. Specializing in locally grown meat with sauce repaired at the table sadly things have changed. We were served two very tough steaks and a soup bowl of cold sauce (pepper and bearanaise) that looked like they came from a large plastic pail. The fries were also disappointing. (More on that later). The waiter told us that the original owner of 50 years sold to a consortium that had bought most of the restaurants on the street. As we arrived we notice a waiter carrying food from one restaurant to another. We were offered a 30%discount by the fork but it was not available in the evening. In fact although service is included the waiter suggested we add 10% as a tip. On our way out (you walk through the cooking area we noticed a cook emptying a plastic bag of France fries into the fryer hence the low quality fries. I paid for a special night and other then the fact I will remember the experience it was not special.
