Once a great restaurant with a style all its own. Specializing in locally grown meat with sauce repaired at the table sadly things have changed. We were served two very tough steaks and a soup bowl of cold sauce (pepper and bearanaise) that looked like they came from a large plastic pail. The fries were also disappointing. (More on that later). The waiter told us that the original owner of 50 years sold to a consortium that had bought most of the restaurants on the street. As we arrived we notice a waiter carrying food from one restaurant to another. We were offered a 30%discount by the fork but it was not available in the evening. In fact although service is included the waiter suggested we add 10% as a tip. On our way out (you walk through the cooking area we noticed a cook emptying a plastic bag of France fries into the fryer hence the low quality fries. I paid for a special night and other then the fact I will remember the experience it was not special.

Dear Sir,

First of all thank you for your visit and comment! we are sorry to read that you have not had a good time with us.
Yes, things have changed at the vincent restaurant because we have improved the services.
the restaurant is still a local reference specialized in meat, We are now working with the best butcher in Belgium: Dierendonck. we serve the best meat of Belgium.
The sauces are made at home by our chefs, nothing has changed in the recipes, they are realized by our chefs with fresh products
for that is why our regular customers continue to visit us!
Please note also that french fries are fresh and homemade!
Your information is wrong, the owner has not bought several restaurants in the street, the only restaurant we have in this area is the restaurant Vincent!
Thank you again for you visit

A very old room, with a boring menu and an overworked wait staff. The beef tartare is superb, but the marrow was expensive and pathetic. The menu is heavily beef centric, which is somewhat unusual in Brussels. The head waiter was running around like a madman between too many tables, while having to finish the sauces for many of the dishes handed to him by the cooks. His assistant was clueless. Our least favorite meal among five dinners in Brussels.

Ok it's a Sunday Evening after a busy weekend - your booked -in expected and seated - then the Manager cones along and clearly not interested in your welfare just order eat and let him go home. Food wise steaks are good as you would expect and service levels without a smile are to be experienced - I think this place needs a shake up as others in the area are far more welcoming

Dinner with friends.. We ordered steaks, tartare, fish, and beef stew. We had a plate of charcuterie as appetizers. The food was all good but not exceptiona. The beef tartare was quite tasty.

The personnel were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The decor was as depicted in the photos.

My brother in Law used to take the whole family there 15 to 20 Years ago, And it was always excellent.

Today the mussles which I had for starters were absolulty tasteless (12 with chese and garlic for over 10€ :-)). The Salad came without any Dressing. And the frites without any salt.

The Rumpsteak however was good and the Sauce Bernaise excellent. Without this Sauce it would have been a mass.

Whatever happened to this place, it should improve rapdiely to justify 60 € for this dinner for one person
