“Lovely, convenient apartment - would stay again!”
Reviewed 7 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

We stayed in the Guild Studio for 3 nights - we were 2 couples, so one used the bedroom and the other the sofa bed.

The studio is a 10 minute walk into central Bruges, though there are some lovely restaurants only 5 minutes away. There is a small supermarket and a bakery 2 minutes away which is perfect for picking up breakfast. We got a taxi from the train station to get there which was about 12 euros, but the owner Jacques kindly gave us a lift on our way back.

We found Jacques to be very friendly and helpful, and very responsive to any issues we had. The apartment was clean and spacious and it offered good value for accommodation in Bruges which is not a cheap place to visit. The bed was very comfortable and amazing black out curtains meant we all slept really well.

I would have given this 5 stars if there had been just a little more attention to detail - suggestions would be:
Bigger towels!! They were so tiny, none of us are big people but the towels weren't big enough to go around us once, and they were a bit scratchy - Bruges is freezing in Feb so a nice big warm towel would have been lovely!
No mirror in the bedroom - a tiny thing but its nice to be able to dry your hair and see what you're doing.
Incomplete crockery sets e.g. Only 3 small plates for breakfast.

These are minor issues and would not stop us returning or recommending, but its the little things like these make the difference!

Thanks for a fab stay!

“Great studio, great location”
Reviewed 14 January 2015 for a stay in October 2014

From the initial contact to when we left the studio contact with Jacques was positive and welcoming. Having the owners onsite has once again proven to be a great advantage. The studio was spotlessly clean, well equipped and everything worked. The apartment was steeped in history as it was in the very old area of Brugge. We delighted in being able to explore the old, narrow, cobblestoned streets.

The location of the apartment was very convenient. It was close enough to walk into the centre of the old city and very close to transport if you wanted to go a little further afield. A small but adequate grocery store was very close by the apartment with a substantial supermarket within easy walking distance.

We would certainly recommend the Guild Studio most highly.

“Perfect stay in a perfect studio close to all major sites in Bruges”

We stayed at this studio for 3 nights with our 9 month old baby and it was perfect for all our needs. The studio is very spacious with a cot and high chair provided. All the amenities are catered for throughout the studio. The owner, Jacques, welcomed us on arrival and gave us a quick brief of the studio, which was very helpful. The property is only a 10 minute walk to the Grote Markt and all the main sites in Bruges, with plenty of amenities nearby. Perfect vacation for a family or a couple. We would highly recommend this property to a family.

“Secluded apartment, perfectly located and with mostly everything you'd need for an extended stay.”

The Guild Studio Apartment was the perfect place to stay in Bruges: far enough away from the crowds but within easy walking distance from all the major sights. We stayed for a week and never needed to take public transportation – apart from a lovely canal boat ride – within Bruges.

The apartment is spacious and would easily accommodate three or four guests. We appreciated the kitchen as a place to prepare meals at home The bedroom was roomy with enough storage space and the bed was okay.

The bathroom is huge and includes a useful washing machine. It was nice also that there is a second, separate toilet in the apartment.

Once greeted, we were given our own space by the owner, who lives upstairs. He kindly gave us a lift to the train station on our final day.

I would definitely stay in this apartment the next time I’m in Bruges.

Liked best: The quiet location, close to the town centre but away from noise
Liked least: Could have done with a few more kitchen essentials (grater, chef's knife)
