Hotel staff is quick and courteous to help you even if your away from hotel. Hotel rooms were small but well planned for space. Breakfast is good (missed boiled egg), easy access to train, city center market. Besides providing dinner options, this hotel is closer to a vareity of restaruants and shopping. If you get this accomodation at an affordable rate (comparatively) then go for it.

Room Tip: Right next to Zuid straat that will lead you to city center market square.

We traveled with 6 persons and could not find a place in a B&B anymore, therefore we decided to stay at Hotel T'Zand. The rooms were not special, but nice and clean and quite big. The breakfast was also ok. The location of the hotel is perfect to start to visit Brugge, it is at the beginning of the center, only a few minutes walk from the Markt (main square).
We (all) had rooms to the back side, soit was quite even with the fair going on on the T'Zand square. Below the square there is a a big car park with reasonable prices also for a whole weekend.

Room 226 faced the noisy fun fair (in town for four weeks), so I moved to room 112 on the rear, a smaller room but on the quiet side of building, which I very much appreciated.
Good: Bathroom has single-handled faucet. Modern, energy-saving lighting throughout the building. Hair-dryer is installed right where it’s needed, beside the bathroom mirror. Nice bathtub and modern fixtures.
Free wireless, but it doesn’t work well in my room (only eventually and slowly or not at all). It does work in the small reception lobby.
It was refreshing to have no hovering staff in the breakfast room. The breakfast buffet has fresh-fruit salad, yogurt, muesli and corn flakes, sliced cheese and cold meat, at least three types of bread, rolls, pastries and croissants, scrambled eggs and bacon.
Windows in the room don’t open, and air-con gets drafty. No clock-radio. No kettle.

Room Tip: If you want a view of the square, ask for that; if you want quiet (view of a side street), ask for the rear or quiet side of the building, where the room might be smaller.

Stopped over on way through Belgium, neat little hotel with a great location close to restaurants and sights. Room and hotel very clean and tidy and staff helpful. Basic but just the job for a short stay. Car park under hotel very handy and not too pricey for overnight parking.

Room Tip: For a quiet room get one at the rear as front facing look onto square that gets quite noisey

We stayed in this hotel for one night during a stopover in Bruges. Having driven from Calais, we were amazed at how easy it is to get to Bruges in just over an hour. The road literally takes you right into the underground car park beneath Hotel t' Zand, which is just marvellous. The hotel itself is clean enough but basic. Our room was a small twin, but perfectly adequate. There is, however, occasionally a vague smell of toilets in the corridors, which is unpleasant. The blonde receptionist seemed to spend her entire time on the internet while we were there, rarely bothering to glance up. The male staff in the restaurant were, however, fast, efficient and friendly. The breakfast was again basic, but fine. For €112, it was OK. Bruges itself is a beautiful city, with fantastic restaurants and architecture. We will most likely try to book a room at one of the hotels along the canals next time, but Hotel t' Zand is fine for a stopover and its location is ideal.

Room Tip: The rooms atthe back are pretty quiet at night, although you can occasionally hear other guests moving around above and next door.
