We knew we liked the town, having stayed there before. But the stay was made perfect by the accommodation. Hassle free, well organised, everything working, clean and spacious. Unlike some, a full and clear set of instructions were provided so that our time in the apartment went without a hitch.

Highly recommended.

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property? Overall condition of the property
Bedding & mattresses Kitchen & utensils
Bathroom cleanliness Other facilities & amenities
Service
Liked best: Cleanliness, and everything working as advertised.

“Great apartment, amazing location! BOOK NOW!”

A week is not long enough! Just got back to rainy old England from wonderful Tenerife and this apartment and location were fantastic. Playa de San Juan is a really nice base to explore the island, it's not tacky (no offense..) and full of tourists like los Cristianos. The locals are friendly and will try their best to assist you despite the language barrier at times (though you'll generally find every cafe/restaurant will have some English speaking waiting staff and most shops have at least someone who knows enough to get by), there's also a tourist information booth very close to the apartment anyway, I brought a phrasebook thinking I'd need it but it wasn't necessary, albeit I'm sure they appreciate it when you give Spanish a go!

The buses are really easy to use, buy a bono card (€15) from a shop near the apartment, right near the Creativo restaurant which is basically diagonally across the road once you've walked up the small street the apartment is on, and stick it in the machine near the driver (arrows on the card make it clear which way it goes), then just say your destination and they take money off the card, just pop it in again if you're paying for two on the same card. Drivers can't always speak English but they'll understand most attempts at pronouncing any towns. It's only 20 mins to Los Gigantes to go on the boat trips, it's closer to an hour to los Cristianos but the views are interesting and it never feels so long. Get a bus to los gigantes and another to puerto de la cruz for some fantastic mountain scenery and a chance to visit Loro Parque (worth the cost), though if you're travel sick take heed that the route over the mountain region is about 2/3rds sharp U-bends and winding S-bends.

Anyway back to the apartment itself, really good value, simple but has everything you need, well equipped with cutlery, plates, bowls, pots and pans etc for cooking meals, only thing I'd possibly suggest is a second smaller baking tray but it's no biggie. Wifi is very fast and stable, tv has some English channels though not standard BBC news types, it's more a jumble of about 12 freeview channels. We were out all day/evening on our own excursions and often got up early for the next one, if you're the type to laze around the apartment in the evenings you may want some DVD's.

Shower is pretty powerful and water heats up quickly (though it tells you its solar powered so more hot water in the evening, we had showers at night so can't comment on morning temps), water in the kitchen takes a while to get hot sometimes but be patient and it will do.

The apartment is literally a stones throw from the beach, they're stoney but the sea is very calm, so good for swimming if you don't like waves. Also rich in fish, more so at low tide it seemed and not too far out, where the water is about neck height, so if you want to practice a bit of snorkeling you should see something. You can bring your own towels or rent two sun beds for €7.50 for the whole day, if you're lucky and only spend a couple of hours there you might get lucky and avoid the guy who asks for the money hehe, he'll also offer to bring drinks to you if you wish.

Philips communication was great and he was very helpful with my queries, also we paid Kimberley to pick us up from the airport and she was also very friendly and showed us around the apartment, you get a phone with credit on to call her if you need assistance and you can use it to call excursions or anything you need as well (not foreign calls of course..)

I really can't think of any negatives, only tiny thing I'd suggest is the welcome pack was nice, but maybe with the little jar of sugar packets chuck in a few UHT milks for a coffee/tea if you arrive late after the minimarkets have closed? But then not everyone takes milk and that's more the tea fiend in me..

Anyway I should stop because the 100 minimum characters has become 4000, so you can tell this place was awesome.

GO, BOOK NOW! YOU WON'T REGRET IT! Maybe not next year but we'll be back for sure!

“Fantastic apartment”

Just arrived home from a holiday in Playa San Juan staying this apartment. From the moment we walked in we were impressed, the layout was great it was comfortable, had everything we needed and was ideally placed for the beach, restaurants and bars and mini markets etc.
It is located in a quiet cul de sac so no through traffic ergo noise. At the top of the road you can get a bus in either direction to destinations of your choice. Everything you need is within walking distance at a maximum of 10 mins for anything.
The apartment is fantastically maintained my family and I could not fault it in any way shape or form.
Philip and Kimberley hats off for the great apartment which was a part of our fantastic first holiday on Tenerife thank you very much

“Great Apartment and even Greater for Central Amenities.”

We have just returned from 15 days in this Apartment and quite honestly we did not want to come home. The Positives out way any negatives which are few.The Apartment really is 15 metres from the sea and so well situated you can get to anywhere from your front door.Walk down the road to the Harbour and just a few more paces and you have the beaches.A small sheltered beach which is ideal for Children as easy access to the sea or the larger stretch of beach with a beautiful promenade and spectacular views. You can hire sun loungers and order drinks and food from the beach cafe which they will bring to you as you lounge. The beach is black sand mainly but Stoney at the sea edge and in the sea so beach shoes/swimShoes are a must unless you have tough feet. The sea is clean and fresh with a fair depth plus overseen by lifeguards(although I would not say it was dangerous) but reassuring. You can watch the boats come in with their amazing catches of huge Tuna and boatloads of Sardines.Although you are quite near to the boats the swim area is away from the moorings and cordoned off so no boats can come into the area.If you fancy a change of scenery then walk 5 minutes to the top of the road and catch the Titsa Bus service which will take you to most places and if you buy a Bono Card from the local shops €15 and you can use it for two people to travel and it counts down.To travel to Los Gigantes is €1.15 each way with the card which is a bargain.
There is so much to see and do right on your doorstep ,Walks along the Prom or more challenging up the Clofftop paths with views for miles and miles.Explore along this coastal path and you will find some great plants and even a derelict church in a cove which you can access via some steep steps. Not for the faint Hearted. The local bars and cafés are very cheap and the food /drink is very cheap. To shop and cook is even cheaper with all the produce you need within walking distance.I can only say the location is perfect everything on your doorstep.
The Apartment is well furnished and was spotless when we arrived. We had a lovely welcome Hamper and even a small mobile phone for personal use was left topped up for us.You have wi-Fi in the apartment and if you have a tablet you can connect to the TV with a HDMI lead and watch English TV live on the big screen. The Wi-fi is fast and reliable.Phillip had also done an itinary of useful facts and instructions which was very helpful. You can rest assured you will be taken care of not only by Phillip but Kimberley his assistant is delightful and so very helpful. This was a stress free Holliday because of the care that has gone into making your stay a good one.
Now for the minus points which are really very few. There is no Balcony but you do have a great roof top terrace which is well furnished for the comfort of the residents. You are staying in the heart of a community so will not always be quiet but you will see how the locals live (watch the neighbours over the road and if they got to beach early morning then it is going to be a lovely day. They were reliable weather gauges. The sun does not shine on all of the apartment so it can get a bit of a chill but we did not have to use heaters which are provided.Pack your slippers and a warm jumper if you Ho in March. We did not notice Air Con but I imagine the apartment stays quite cool.
I could write a book as you will have noticed if you got this far so I will say we had such a brilliant time we have booked again for next year.Try it for yourself but if you want white sandy beaches and lots of nightlife then it may not be for you. This is a peaceful Harbour/village resort which is well looked after but near enough to other resorts for a change of scenery.
