We don't stay at a lot of B&B's (2nd) so we don't really don't fully know what to expect, but Elaine and Dan set our B&B Expectation for the future. Greeted like family when you arrive, given the tour, shown our room, time to settle, met alot of other nice guests that I am sure will also rave about Elaine's. Nice home in a excellent ocean side location in a small community about 30 minutes south of St. john's. Fairly new home, we had a comfortable Queen bed, with a cozy ensuite washroom. Mostly Garden view with a bit of ocean view from our 1st floor bedroom, nothing but ocean side view from the common room or the breakfast nook. And if you sit in the Blue Leather lounger, don't plan on getting up anytime soon!! I forgot to ask the brand... Nice sized property with lots of lounger chairs to get comfy. Breakfast was second to none, Simply put, they know how to cook breakfast. We stayed 2 nights mainly for Puffin Patrol, but being at the end of season we didn't come across any puffins of petrel's needing saving, so not a bad thing at all. Check it out "Puffin Patrol" Mid August is about the right time if you want a better chance of saving a bird.
Elaine and Dan also own Eco Tours for whale watching, if you like to be up close and personal with the whales, a Zodiac is the way to do it!!
What else can I say that has not already been said!

We spent only one night. Despite the bathroom being across the hall our room was spacious and well organized. Common rooms are large and allowed for relaxing. The view is superb. Breakfast served around a large table and had good choices of food. Hosts were very friendly

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the sea!

We stayed at Elaine's for two nights. Everything is looked after beautifully. The rooms are well appointed with comfortable beds.

Our room looked out over the sea. Stunning! The lawn furniture was available for guests to use.

The breakfasts were delicious and featured a nice selection of hot and cold offerings.

Elaine is a tremendous host. Her sense of humour will warm the hearts of weary travelers.

We would highly recommend visiting Elaine's.

We spent only one night at Elaine's B&B by the sea. Most others in this place stayed a few days or weeks. The rooms are spacious and well organized. Common rooms are large and allows for writing, watching TV, chatting, and just relaxing. the sea view is spectacular. Seating in the common room or outside on high chairs and watching the sea is a free therapy. We missed seeing whales but it was still simply wonderful. Breakfast served around a large table and people were friendly and shared their travel experiences. Wish we could stay longer.

Room Tip: Give yourself say time to enjoy the view.

We stayed at Elaine's for three nights and from the moment we arrived we were glued to the whale watching! Views from the B&B directly over the sea and at least 20 animals feeding in the bay at any time. Even saw them whilst we ate breakfast on the final morning which was foggy!
Rooms are beautifully clean and comfortable and all reports about the excellent breakfast are true! Great start to our trip.
