We stayed here one night. It is exceptionally quiet and extremely central. The hosts were very nice and helpful! Would happily stay here again!
Bela was a very welcoming host, allowing us to check in early, and greeting us with a host of useful information for exploring Evora.
The apartment was small but beautifully decorated. The bathroom was great - especially the shower! The air con worked and there was a small yard for eating as well as a dining table. The bed was large, spacious and comfortable - a welcome change to single beds pushed together that we experienced everywhere else. The apartment was situated just a few minutes walk from the old centre of Evora, ideal for exploring.
I was shocked to hear that we were the 1st TripAdvisor renters for this lovely, homey studio cottage. It's located in a small alley sized, cobbled street in a neighborhood of locals. It is a single room design but very spacious, clean, with a small outdoor courtyard (which we did not use), a kitchenette (with a welcome bottle of wine) and a lovely bathroom. The bath towels were large and soft and the bathroom had a clean and new feel to it. This studio had everything we needed and was in a good location to walk to restaurants, Evora sites and especially for our morning coffee. The only negative for me personally, was the bed was quite firm, some may find this a plus, but for me I woke up with my back hurting. We also were thankful there was air conditioning as we arrived just in time for a very unseasonable heat wave and the AC was great to come home to after being out all day walking around the local sites in the heat. Anabela was just lovely, we had a little confusion finding the correct meeting location and she was gracious about us being late. She showed us her favorite coffee and pastry shop on the map and gave us thoughts on places to visit and where to park. Our stay in Evora was wonderful, loved the town, the local sites and the food and people were great. Come on TA travelers, book Bella's House for your stay in Evora, you won't be sorry. Thanks again Anabela for everything.
Bella's house is a luxuriously appointed space within a renovated original home in one of Evora's evocative laneways within the walled Unesco listed heritage town. It is walking distance to everything you may wish to go to - restaurants, sights, and the bus station. It is exceptionally comfortable, with a great bed, down pillows, AC, a small kitchen (stovetop, oven as well as microwave and coffee pod machine, fridge) dining space, flat screen TV, a lovely bathroom, and sunny private courtyard. The owners, Anabela and her husband Luis, seem to have thought of everything to make their guests stay as comfortable as possible...there is even a clothes drying rack so you can dry your clothes in the courtyard. We spent 3 days here and our only regret was that we didn't book a longer stay.
