€33 euros yielded a clean, quiet room and a good night's sleep. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There was no problem reentering the building well after midnight, following a night out. Breakfast was the usual Portuguese fare, but with the sliced cheese and ham served to the table, rather than placed on the buffet.

While the room was larger than usual for an hotel of this category, the windows were obscured and non-functional.

Bottom line: at this hotel you get reasonable value for the modest tariff.

The hotel is located very central, free 24 hour parking just 5 minutes walk away. Rooms are nice, clean and have air conditioner. Staff very helpful with some english knowledge. Silent and comfortable sleep. Wifi is good and the old fashioned interior suitable.
I would go again

A best silence place for of all ages,
We stayed yesterday night here, a best service with quality response;
Really recommend for visit and stay.
We arrived here late night and after check-in we walked around and in one corner, one restaurant was opened and we enjoyed the local meal; really a best flavor

We stayed here for one night during our trip in the Alentejo. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly and very welcoming. The room was big and had good facilities. The walls are a bit thin, so loud guests may wake you up. It has also a really good location. Close to the cathedral and city centre.

This is an ordinary place to sleep. The hotel has free Wi-Fi, a TV with five ( ? ) channels, private WC, wardrobe, some old fashioned furniture and a telephone. You can enter at anytime you want, as there is a night guard to open the door. The hotel is close to some interesting points of Portalegre.
The staff is very, very friendly and will help you with anything that you need. You can enjoy a traditional Portuguese breakfast in the morning.
