This is a pretty good option, right on a lovely beach with excellent access to Faro airport and the ferry to old Faro. Do check which property you're getting, though, as the description here is (wilfully?) deceptive. Riamya, the 2-bedroom, is at the back on the lower ground floor - ie. it doesn't face the beach but rather the main road, the biggest issue being traffic noise (not helped in our case by unwittingly arriving during a motorcycle convention). Also, if travelling with small children - from the (also noisy) courtyard, a child can gain direct access to the driveway, road and beach, so needs to be under constant supervision. The front door locks automatically on closing, so there is a significant risk of locking yourself out (esp. while child is in). Probably ideal as a bachelor pad - cooking facilities are not great (but there's a great restaurant-bar next doors), the TV is up so high you can't watch it (and has no child-friendly channels if you're not Portuguese speaking), and simple things like hooks and mirrors are lacking. However, it's extremely convenient, appealingly appointed, and the friendly, reliable owner is easy to contact and will sort any problems quickly. We took a gamble on a property with no reviews and it worked out fine, but there is a risk here that you're not getting quite what you thought you would. 3.5 stars.
