Located on a quiet residential estate. Family of 6 adults and two children, we found the upside down villa great for all our needs. We had a few small problems but they where promptly delt with by the Algarve Agency. Lagos is about 30 mins walk away down a lane, not suitable to walk at night. The gorgeous long beach is about the same to walk, brollies and sun beds available 12€ and a couple of beach restaurant with good food. We didn't hire a car and managed well walking and using taxis, which where not badly priced, at about 7€ to Lagos. Wouldn't hesitate to use again!
We stayed ( 4 adults and 3 teenagers) for 2 weeks at the beginning of July and had a great, relaxed holiday. The villa is great with plenty of room for everyone. The basement flat has an en suite bathroom and is suitable for two adults or older teenagers. There are three other double rooms but only one has an en suite bathroom but there is a shower room and another toilet on the upper floor.
The kitchen is well equipped and there is a utility room with a second fridge that is great for beer and wine and a washing machine.
The pool is fabulous and long enough to let you swim back and forth as much as you want. In the garden there is a permanent barbecue that was well used.
In terms of the villa I don't think you could ask for more.
We had an issue with the television as it runs off the internet. However, our issues were dealt with within 30 minutes of calling the office. Unbelievably good service.
The only downside of the villa was that it is a lengthy walk into Lagos via a very narrow road that can be daunting when cars need passed you. There is an alternative route via the beach road but that is a bit further. Consequently I would suggest a car is pretty much essential. However, as I said we still had a great holiday.
If you don't want to go out to eat and can't be bothered cooking you can get food to take away from the jardim do Maia Pria that is at the back of the villa.
