We have decided to visit Coimbra in the last minute so we have choose Vila Gale since in Brazil we have stayed in other hotels of the same group. So the room was big, breakfast buffet very good, excellent pool - my daughter 's opinion :) - the only negative point was the ripped sofa.

I stayed here with my family for just 1 night but we really loved it! The room was very clean and spacious. We loved the outdoor pool area and location. Very close to lots of amenities like banks, restaurants and supermarket. Very helpful staff as well. Would definitely stay again!

We stayed at this hotel for four nights with our two children. The room was clean and spacious, and the hotel honoured our request to have an extra bed for the children, so they each had a single bed. The AC works well, and the rooms are nice and quiet. The breakfast buffet is just OK, though the service is extremely slow. The kids truly enjoyed late afternoons by the pool after days spent visiting the surrounding towns. The hotel is slightly out of the old town, but very easily accessible by car, with lots of parking. The Wi-Fi works OK in the rooms, but is inaccessible at the pool. The lunch menu by the pool is also OK, but you may die starving before they actually bring you the food. This is a solid four star hotel, but not five.
