We are staying at a hotel nearby and Clara's was recommended as a short walk away. It is tucked away right next to the arch leading to the Castelo de São Jorge (São Jorge Castle) and is tiny with only 6 tables for 2. The staff consists of a waiter and a cook. The service was excellent and the food extraordinary. We had an appetiser of local sausages and cured meats and a main dish of bacalhau de natas (salted codfish in a cream sauce). For desert, we had a slice of apple strudel and then an orange custard cake fresh out of the oven. All the food was prepared fresh and it was delicious, prepaerd with fresh ingredients. This is a restaurant not to be missed.
