Owner description: Time Out Market is a concept created from scratch by the Time Out Portugal team with only the best ideas and business projects in Lisboa – according to the editorial team. If it’s good, it goes in the magazine, if it’s great, it goes into the market. 24 restaurants, 8 bars, a dozen shops, a cooking school and a high-end music venue, all with the very best in Lisbon (the best chefs, the best steak, the best hamburger, the best sushi and the best live performances, amongst others); on the other hand the market is home to some of the city’s best known (and longest-running) market vendors of meat, fish, fruit and flowers. The foodhall has 40 restaurants/shops served by more than 500 seats in covered area and 250 more outside.

Excellent for quick and diverse eating. From starters untill desert!
Quite busy at common meal time, but easy access for brunch or late dinner.

I went there with friends to make a break in our visits, it was very nice. There were a lot of different dish, so everyone could found something he likes.

Easy to get to, especially on the Metro, Time Out Market is worth a visit. The market has many food stands and produce stands, candy shops, tourist shops, restaurants but the area around the Market is worth exploring, too. Very interesting shops and quaint streets.

Came here with my boyfriend our first night in Lisbon - it was definitely one of our favorite things! Being from New York we love to visit food stand “events” or halls like Smorgasborg or Chelsea Market but this place really takes the cake - there are many vendors from all different well known Lisbon food institutions - we ended up having dinner here once and lunch twice it was that good!!! Definitely recommend walking around with a glass of wine and trying different places - we did dinner here around 8 on Wednesday and we were also able to sit almost anywhere we wanted to

Generally reasonably priced sampling of some tasty food in Lisbon. If traveling in a group or with children, this could be a disaster. The lines get long, the tables get full, and the food can take some time to get, so plan accordingly. I recommend going to sample a lot of food with minimal effort, but prepare for lines if you arrive after 1800. Of note, Manteigaria has a booth there and after eating the local pastry at six different locations (to include the main Manteigaria), this place has the best! The Asian booth is nice, the burger joint next to the Asian booth has legit burgers and strangely addictive fries. The drinks are reasonably priced at all of the booths. Great atmosphere once seated. Again, iIf you dont like lines, dont like crowds, or dont like uncertainty about where you are going to get food, do not go. If you are flexible and ready for an experience, this is worth a trip.
