Lovely food market where you can eat and drink or buy ingredients. We didn't eat but the food we saw looked very good. One way to get there is to take the 28 tram to the end of the line (Prazeres). The whole area the market is in seemed interesting with lots of shops and restaurants. Seemed much less busy than the Time Out market and possibly better for it. Really enjoyed our visit.

This is a much smaller version of the Time Out market in down town Lisbon but equally as good. The choice of food to eat was fabulous and if wanting to purchase fresh fish and meat also a great place. For a English person the fish counter was visually fascinating.

I was recommended this market by a friend, and I am really happy I went- it was much more calm and the food was delicious.

After visiting the enjoyable but very, very busy Mercado da Ribeira, we opted for this smaller market at the end of the famous, touristy Tram 28 route. All the stalls selling fresh produce looked tempting. Decisions about what to eat for lunch were tricky: everything from sushi to steaks to Portuguese tapas, plus juice or wine or beer stalls. Everything is freshly cooked. A really good spot for lunch.

In the market you can choose the type of meal you want, there are some 15 or 20 different "restaurants" or shops from where you bring food for a central common space. Sometimes everything fits and it is very nice, other times it is a bit to noisy
