This restaurant is in the heart of the tourist area and therefore largely used by visitors to Lisbon. It is not a cheap meal as a consequence. However, our experience was excellent. All our dishes (squid, cod, desserts) were fresh, imaginative, beautifully presented and full of flavour.

The waiters were friendly without being at all intrusive and the atmosphere was light and happy.

It is certainly one of the best meals we had during our time in the city and, judging by the queues of people trying to get a table, we are not alone in that view.

Very good food, I recommend. We kept our table for two consecutive dinners and we were fascinated by the service and the food. Without restabling it is difficult to find free places.

We arrived without reservations which I don’t suggest but were seated eventually. It was worth it. They are so polite and food was delicious. They have huge servings

We arrived early at 6.30 and only just managed to get a table, next time we will make a reservation. The restaurant specializes in food from the Azores as well as Portuguese dishes, which are beautifully cooked and presented. The staff were amazing, very friendly and efficient. The food was so good that people at different tables were speaking to each other.

We pre-booked and would suggest anyone wanting to visit should do the same although you could chance it and drop on if lucky; we saw a few people who did.
We shared a fish stew which had more than enough succulent chunky white fish and shell fish, so much so we couldn't eat all of it. The flavour was sensational and all washed down with a very reasonably priced bottle of red (€11).
The boss later on in the evening sat and ate on a table near us although he couldn't help himself and kept bobbing up and down to help out. The staff were very attentive, and the atmosphere was quite lively but not too loud, it just feels like a great place to enjoy a meal and some wine and relax at the end of a busy sight seeing day.
Two suggestions; one, very minor proposal but maybe dim the lights a little to make it a little cosier of an evening, or at least kill the spotlights.
Second, anyone visiting should first try the wine bar directly across the road on the corner for a pre-dinner glass. I forget the name but it's a lovely, cozy little bar with wine casks for tables and very knowledgeable but not too serious staff.
Would we eat here again.....yes, in a heart beat!
