Must see in Portugal. Magical place where time stops. There is so much to see, only negative thing is that there’s is no enter to disabled person.

Although we didn't have time to go in the Palace the grounds are enormous. We walked around the edge of the Palace and then the the High Cross. We had 4 children 2-10 strollers are aloud in the park and the pathways aren't horrible when trying to push it except for some steep inclines. There is limited parking but the Scott bus you can catch in sintra. The views from around the Palace is stunning.

Expensive, queues and ticket machines that don’t dish out family discounts... but once you are in its worth it. Incredible uberornate decor and furnishings in the palace and a lush comparatively tranquil park. I thought I’d regret paying into the palace as the grounds and the external features of the castle are pretty darn good. But inside - if you get your kicks from incredible, insanely detailed carvery, then its a must see.
Highlight for me though was the Queens Fern Valley.

The palace is worth seeing but be ready for a huge crowd. We came during spring break and there were many families with young kids which made it difficult to appreciate the beauty of the palace . Maybe at a different time of year the experience would be better but for us it was too many people.

If you are in Sintra, please dont miss this palace, you will definitely regret. This palace is something like a fairy tale. Superb architectures with some awesome color combinations. Palace is located just walking distance from the Castle of the moors, path is bit steep but can manage if you are young and healthy. Better to keep two hours to spend around the castle and enjoy it. You can go inside the castle and enjoy the paintings and royal furnitures.
