Reviewed 11 June 2007

My husband and I drove around the Attic Coast looking for someplace to stay, and chanced upon Mavro Lithari. The studio rooms looked a little dusty but were quite big, with a kitchen and living area, so we gave it a chance. After moving in and upon closer inspection, I was a little eeked out by the threadbare bedsheets, dusty couch and floor, and a bathroom that got thoroughly wet the moment we took a shower. There was a bathtub but no curtain, and as I wasn't about to take a bath (the tub looked a little suspicious), the bathroom floor was soon soaked, despite our best efforts to contain the water. The balcony is nice and faces a peaceful side of the beach, but looked really dusty (okay, we went in shoulder season and it looked like no one had stayed there for a while). It also seemed like we were the only people there which added a creepy tint to things. Our room wasn't cleaned after the first night, which was shocking. I wouldn't say it was great value for money, as we had stayed in a much nicer place in Mykonos for less. The price doesn't include breakfast. It wasn't terrible, but I doubt we would stay there again. This place has definitely seen better days.
