Awful place to stay. They provide you with a tiny fan that does not work. We called to change room and the people were rude and did not help us. The place is old and smells of damp. Worst accommodation in Athens.More

You forgot to mention that you had booked a room for 20 euro without airco, as stated on the website were you had made the booking.
We offered you another room with airco that was 5 euro more expensive but you refused.
We have a 8.5 on the website were you made the booking. If we would be that bad as you are stating here, then we would have had a much lower score.
Very helpful owners, great location right next to the metro or 30 minutes walking distance from the touristic center. The room was nice, the only improvement could be to have curtains that make the room dark. Totally recommend staying here!
Thank you so much for your nice review. We have taken your advice and we have replaced the curtains with blackout curtains.
We hope to see you again during your next stay in Athens, Greece.
The Viktoria Inn
Nice room. Nice staff. Clean place. The area is a little bit strange but very well connected with public transport. Metro station, bus station and taxis available in 2 min walk. The rooms are nicely decorated.
We booked this accommodation and just a day before our stay, we received a mail telling that the keys should be picked up at some other address. We were unable to find the address properly and we ended up just on the next door to the received address (received door no. was 15A and we were standing at door no. 15). Since we were standing at the next door, there were no staff and we didn't realize that we were standing at door no. 15.
I called The Viktoria Inn and told them that I am waiting outside and I couldn't find anyone. The reply that I got was, they will come in 3 minutes. But after 10 minutes when I called them and told that the door is locked and we are still waiting, this guy from Viktoria Inn came and told that he is cancelling my booking. He became so angry. He was not even ready to listen what we had to explain.
People in the shops nearby do not speak very good english and hence it is extremely difficult to locate the correct address when they change the address to pick up the room keys just a day before your stay.
I don't understand how can anyone cancel the booking exactly when we arrive at the location.
Never even book this accommodation. If you do, you are also running into a risk that if you miss to find the address of this place, this guy will become angry and will cancel your booking.
Dear ms. K,
You had a reservation made via Booking.com. On the website AND in our email to you, it is stated clearly that you had to come to our office. From there a staffmember will walk with you to the accomodation ( 1 street further )
If you exit the metro station, our office is directly on the right side of the exit.
You called me to tell me that you were standing in front of the door and you did not know what bell to ring. Since the name of the office is written very big on the bell i asked you where you where because i also did not see you in front of the door. You started yelling : "I am at number 15A and I want you to come to me now!"
We found you standing in front of number 15 while our office is at number 15A. We understand that people can make a mistake and this is no problem at all.. but the things you called us are really not polite.
Our ranking on Booking.com is one of the highest and if we would be as bad as you wrote in your review, we would not have this high ranking.
It is a warm and clean place very cheap and in the center of Athens , nothing happened with our credit card as many people say,the guy is very friendly.everything was okay...the kitchen and the bathroom was very clean
Thank you so much for your kind review. We hope to see you again when you will visit Athens.
Staff of The Viktoria Inn
They charged our credit-card with 150 Euro (also tried to charge 500 but luckily I had set a limit for transactions) for alleged damages that we didn't do. They were also not able to give any details on what the so-said damages were.
Also the hostel was super cold, rather old and lacked bed sheets to keep us warm. Super cheap but also super bad.
