Electra Hotel Athens is a wonderful hotel! Central location, quiet and comfortable room with a view of Syntagma Square, clean, bath and shower with lots of hot water, free wifi, delicious free buffet breakfast. Most important, the best hotel staff I ever have known: very helpful and friendly, especially Θάνος, Φόφι, Χρήστος, and Ιρίνη at the desk, Ευτηχία and Χριστίνα in the restaurant, Χρήστος, Χαραλαμπός, and Γιόργος in the lobby, and Παναγιότα in housekeeping!

Stayed at the Electra hotel for 3 nights.
Location: The hotel is in a perfect location, situated on Ermou street where all the shops are. It is in a safe area. Close walking distance to the plaka, lukumades (delicious ball like donuts baked fresh) and Tzatziki (nice greek street food at a very good price)
Room: Room was clean, there was a fridge and tea/coffee facilities. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was fantastic, a very good shower head. The cleaners re stocked the bathroom products daily which was great. The furnishings of the room look old fashioned. The only negative about the room was the poor lighting, it was very dim in the room.
Breakfast: The breakfast was delicious. There were cereals, fresh pastries and toast, fruit, yoghurt, cheeses, meats, eggs, bacon, baked beans etc.
Reception: The only feedback i could provide to the hotel would be for the reception staff to provide a map and some information about the area upon check in, and to be more welcoming when cheking in visitors.
Would recommend this hotel!

Spent 4 nights here this past week. We loved the hotel. Very modern and clean. They were doing some renovations on the second floor but we didn’t notice anything except to see construction workers in the lobby. Great place to stay. I was here for a convention so the hotel is about 5 mins from the train station. The room was very comfortably with robes and slippers to make it extra special. Shower was small but go the job done. The bedding very comfortable and always smelled fresh. The breakfast was the best we had in Europe. Hot and cold choices with any type of fresh coffee (no machine). Very close to Plaka district and 15 min walk to the Acropolis. No rooftop bar or pool. Overall, great hotel and close to all the major attractions and transportation.

Lovely, old fashioned boutique hotel in the heart of shopping, just down from Syntagma Square. The street was lively and the hotel restaurant had a open air front that was great for a coffee or glass of wine and some people watching.

Great location for your first time in Athens - all the important sites are close by, a minute’s walk from Syntagma square, a shopping district and several cafes and restaurants around the corner.
The hotel itself is decent but not really plush for the price you pay. (You pay for the location and rightly so in this case)
Rooms are clean and well maintained and the ones we asked for were just right to accommodate a third bed. The bathrooms were however super compact!
Breakfast is served in a small area at the lobby level and can get too crowded if all tables are occupied.
Service was prompt and efficient and the staff are pleasant.
Overall, I would recommend it for a comfortable stay in a fantastic location.
(And for the Indian families traveling to Athens - a few really good Indian restaurants within walking distance - my parents were thrilled!)
