This hotel is in a great location central to Athens and main attractions like the Acropolis. The rooms are a good size and bathrooms are really nice. The restaurant and rooftop bar is also great. Only negative is that the gym is fairly small.

Stayed in three nights. Rooms are huge and very well equipped. Beds are fantastic. The receptionist ladies are extremely kind and helpful.
Breakfast at the 7th floor is a great experience , having the Acropolis from one side and the parliament building on the other.
Breakfast is served a la carte free of charge.

I was very happy with the location of the King George Hotel. There are lots of shopping and dining options near the hotel. The view of the Acropolis from the room was good, but the view of the Acropolis from the restaurant is amazing!

As others have mentioned, this hotel shares some facilities with the adjoining Hotel Grande Bretagne, so you may find it frustrating walking to the Hotel GB to go to the bar, use the pool, find the ATM machine, etc. This was not an issue for us, however.

The rooms were nice and the classical luxury decorations were nice. The rooms are becoming a bit worn, but they are still very nice. The bath gel, shampoo, and lotion in the bathrooms are made in Greece with olive oil and the size of the bath gel, shampoo, and lotion is HUGE!

The breakfast was good and the servers were all very nice in the restaurant.

This is a great hotel if you are visiting Athens.

We stayed for 5 nights over new year taking in New Years Eve meal at the Tudor Hall, reviewed separately. We stayed in a Suite with Acropolis view whilst our friends stayed in a deluxe room with view. Both rooms were very clean and well appointed. I note a comment about light switches and bathrooms. Bathrooms do not have light switches but you use the two controls provided either at side of bed or near the door. Simple. We could not fault the room or the service. Front desk made a couple of restaurant reservations for us, one of which was on the afternoon of New Years Day when many restaurants were closed. Transfers were booked efficiently as was the New Years Eve dinner. Every time I emailed the hotel I received a quick and efficient reply. Could not fault and we would definitely stay again if in Athens.

Stayed for a week, was upgraded to small suite (i am plat), had an interior room view. Which I like, Athens is a very loud city, would not trade the quiet for an acropolis view, but to each their own. Very well trained attentive staff. Super friendly, what more could you ask for. Bed was super comfortable. No complaints, and I am a complainer. Oh and they gave us fresh flowers twice during the week!
