We spotted Namaste while on the bus and returned a few days later to try it out. We had a very enjoyable meal. As vegetarians, we find a lot of good Greek food that we can eat, but we really were missing Indian food. We were pleased with the fact that the spices were not "watered down." Our family of four had plenty to eat with 1 serving of rice; 1 naan; 1 pakora order; and two mains (Channa masala and aloo jeera). The wait staff members were pleasant and eager to make sure everything was just right. I wish we had found Namaste earlier in our visit to Chania, because we would have gone back.

Best indian restaurant I have ever visited! The food was delicious and the portions were large. The staff and the owner were very friendly. I will definately recommend it.

PS: the tandoori chicken was magnificent!

We saw this restaurant while we where sitting in the bus from platanius to Chania. We like indian food so we wrote it down because we found no other indian restaurant in chania. From the city center its a long walk but the busstop is nearby.

The food was really good with lots of flavour, the ammount of spices is (luckily) adjustable. The portions are generous. We also got free winetasting and two pieces of watermelons each!

We had a warm welcome and goodbye.
The restaurant was a bit empty, that's a real shame. This is the perfect place for eating other meals then just greek food!
We have a lot of respect for the family running this restaurant.

As people have pointed out, this is not in the easiest location to find; but believe me, once you have got there you will love it. The food is authentic, delicious Punjabi cuisine. The staff are very helpful and take great care to make sure that everything is just right for your meal. It's good quality and generous quantities which will be a big hit with all their visitors. There are tables outside (a bit noisy, so close to the road) but we decided to eat inside, which has air conditioning. I agree with the other reviews that they go that "extra mile" to get their meal experience just right for you. 10/10 for food: 10/10 for service! Go there you won't be disappointed.

Visited with friends straight from an airport pickup. There are very few Indian restaurants in Crete and 1 other in the Chania area so good to have another one opening up. It is opposite an EKO filling station on the main road into Chania. We arrived fairly late and although starters came soon, it was some time before our main courses arrived, but to be fair, 2 friends I was with had special dietary requirements so had to have dishes cooked from scratch, which they thought was quite obliging of the chef. Starters of pakoras and samosas were very tasty. I had a mutton curry which was served with a dark, rich sauce and the meat was very tender. The other courses were vegetarian and were also apparently very good as were the side dishes. You can have your curry as hot or as mild as suits you, European heat or Indian heat, and they got mine just right - hot but not so it overpowered the dish. The menu offers a good selection and they have a separate section for vegetarian dishes. Others have complained that it is on a busy main road, well yes it is but if you want somewhere quiet with views why come here? Traffic is not so bad at night anyway. Very pleasant staff and owners and prices were very reasonable. Overall we were very pleased with our experience and will definitely be coming back.
