First impression wasn't great: the directions from the station are NOT accurate. They dont start at the station and they are misleading in terms of distance. Once we got there, Constantino was welcoming and gave us great info and advice. He didn't seem to know we were coming though (booked through Hostelworld). He's a musician, and I think that promoting his music is more important to him than the hotel. But the room was nice. Clean, our shower rarely had hot water but overall it was a good place and his suggestions were fantastic.

Staying in Chania - Hania has been an absolute pleasure.....under 2 blocks from a gorgeous beach...access to so many wonderful resturants, cheap hire cars and historic locations......I cant recommend staying here more!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Constantino himself is onsite, available and more than willing to recommend sites, resturants and destinations that have been cheap, accessible and the location just simply wonderful. You get a real sense of community and charm from this location.
The room was large, included a mini-self contained kitchen with fridge-sink-cooking facilities-cutlery-bowls etc....full length mirror for the pre-dinner outfit check! balcony looks onto the street leading down to the waters edge..........really lovely, warm and still feels like your apart of community and not just a traveller moving through....
THANKS TO CONSTANTINO for a wonderful, relaxing and inspiring stay in Hania.....
I cant recommend staying here enough....I plan to return........
So Cheap
So warm
So Welcoming!!

Room Tip: Look, we booked the cheapest room...and we were SUPER IMPRESSED !!!! Balcony YES, WIFI YES, Comfy beds YES, kitchenette YES, Close to beach YES, Air con YES, Hot water YES, WHAT MORE DO YOU YOU WANT FOR THIS PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot stress how much Constantino tries to take care of his customers..You can tell from his smile that he loves his work..From the moment we arrived he explained everything we could see in the province of Chania..Staying in Chania City as a base is super..You can make some beautiful day trips from there easily and there's always something interesting to do here in the evening..The beach near the hotel was superb..Constantino gave us some great reccomendations for eating s\in some typical restaurants just in front of the beach..The old town is very close but we realised that it was too crowded there and that we made the right choice to stay here..We lost him for a time but he had to be in the hospital his father was very ill..Don't expect anything fancy but like I said fantastic service and location ..

Room Tip: Make sure you stay extra days in Chania..A lot to see in the area..........

We have booked a room for 3 nights in Constantinos studios nearly 4 weeks prior to our arrival. On a day of our arrival, after 4.5 hour of driving (as we were coming from the opposite part of Crete) we were told by the daughter of the owner “there is no room for you here”. Apparently they have overbooked the place and failed to inform us about this. We were explained after that the owner could not be there to deal with us due to the family emergency. We were given a different hotel to stay and although it was nice, the room was smaller than the one we booked originally and there was no internet cafe or breakfast option (we left our laptop behind based on the facilities in Constantinos studios, this was very inconvenient as we planned to review the maps and directions of our trips around the west of Crete). We were planning to pay by the credit card however the credit card facilities were not available in the other hotel and they could not sort it out with Cosntantinos studios, Constantinos told us over the phone that he has an issue with his credit card machine and we simply need to get the cash out. This information should have been passed to us prior as well as we had limited cash with us. Very poor service and would not recommend this place to anyone.

We liked literally everything. We stayed at a studio apartment, with a great location - 10 min to the bus station, 5 min to the beach, 20 min walk along the beautiful coastline to the city center. I think location-wise you can not find a better deal in Chania. The studio itself was nice, clean, with everything you would need, including a small kitchen and nice balcony that offered amazing views to both the sea and mountains. The owner Constantino was extremely helpful in everything we needed. He gave us useful tips and organized a Balos lagoon tour for us. In one word, we are definitely coming back here again next year :) Highly recommended place.
